''What is your purpose for doing this, Miss Brittney?'' The Lycan Warrior commander looked at the once arrogant woman looking disheveled.
Brittney glanced at the doctors treating the Lycan king before answering his question. ''I want to be happy.''
''And you think by helping the king, you will gain the queen's throne?'' The Lycan warrior commander was confused about how women think.
''No, I know I won't be able to gain the queen's throne. His majesty has been mumbling her name in the prison cell.'' Brittney couldn't help but think if this was how people see her.
Someone thirsty for the queen's throne.
'I only wanted to be loved,' She smiled sadly at herself.
''Miss!'' A familiar voice shouted, and she turned to the maid that didn't abandon her.
Smiling warmly at her, Brittney couldn't help but notice the man following her maid and widened her eyes.
''John,'' She mumbled his name as they got closer.
It seems he heard his name from her mouth and was surprised.
''I didn't expect you to know my name,'' He sadly smiled as they stopped in front of her.
'Of course, I would know your name,' She wanted to say those words but couldn't.
She rejected him. What right does she have to say that?
''Miss, Baron John was worried for you and followed me to help,'' The maid explained as she saw Brittney's questioning eyes.
''Then I would be waiting for you, ''The maid quickly left as she wanted her Miss to reconcile with her mate.
'He didn't forget me,' Brittney didn't stop the maid as her word rang in her head.
'He was worried about me,' Somehow, she felt happy.
''Why?'' She whispered and looked down, ashamed.
She rejected him for her father and herself because she wanted to be happy and thought he couldn't bring her happiness.
''Why don't you hate me?'' She whispered again.
'I rejected you for power,' Brittney wanted to say those words but stopped herself because she hated herself for being like this, For being too greedy.
''We are mates. You rejected me, and I didn't accept your rejection,'' He answered sadly.
''Although I might not be as powerful as your father of his majesty, I can be powerful for my mate because she needs me only and no one else,'' He warmly smiled as he held one of her hands.
Tears fell from Britteny's eyes as she reciprocated his action.
She held on to his hand tightly and sobbed into her other hand.
''I-I might not be a noble again after this war,'' Brittney looked at him for answers.
''You will be a noble after you marry me,'' John answered.
''People will look at me differently because of my father's crime,'' She said.
''You only need me to look at you and no one else. I am sure his majesty won't punish his savior too hard, right commander?'' John looked at the Lycan warrior commander behind Brittney.
''Well.... he majesty will judge wisely,'' The Lycan warrior commander was shocked by the couple dragging him to their quarrel.
''We will be okay, alright?'' John hugged Brittney.
''Hmm,'' Brittney hugged him tightly without letting go.
The maid who left the couple smiled from a distance and wiped her tears, 'I fulfilled your wish, madam.' She thought happily.
WITCHES
''I-Impossible!'' Dimitra vomited blood as she fell to the ground in her dimension.
'How could I be defeated?!' She thought of what the witches did that appeared later in the dimension by her sister.
''A-Am-melia,'' She called out to her sister as she vomited blood.
''What did you do?!'' She screeched hatefully.
Amelia, who knelt on the ground behind some witches as her magic depleted by the teleporting spell, looked at heavily breathing Rose for answers to Dimitra's question.
'I hope this will be enough,' Rose hoped that her conjecture was right..
Rose took a deep breath before answering Dimitra's question, ''Every spell has a weakness and a price to pay. Dimitra.''
''W-Wha-at?!'' Dimitra vomited blood repeatedly.
'It seems to work,' Rose observed the powerful dimitra suddenly becoming weak.
''We need to leave before she disappears. Her dimension should be weak by now, so your magic can work,'' She didn't say anything to her and told the other panting witches.
''No! YOU are not leaving here. My magic is still POWERFUL! You cannot leave here,'' Dimitra wailed like a madman at the witches.
Rose held Amelia as she squeezed out whatever magic she had left and murmured the teleporting spell.
''EVERYTHING WAS YOUR FAULT!'' Amelia looked at Dimitra pointing at her one last time before Rose's spell worked.
''What's going to happen to her?'' Amelia murmured at Rose as they appeared in the castle as she wished.
''Well....I don't know but she would not be able to use black magic anymore'' Rose answered, looking at many injured Lycans, which reminded her of the attack on the vampire's territory.
''Miss Rose!'' Rose looked at Ryder walking towards her.
''We managed to defeat the witch. The Warriors should be able to finish the rogues, strays, and vampires once and for all,'' Rose reported after placing Amelia gently on the ground.
''I see, then I will tell other warriors,'' Ryder smiled at her before disappearing in a flash.
''How did you know the weakness in forbidden magic?'' Amelia asked because, in her view, the forbidden magic had no weakness like others.
''It doesn't have,'' Rose said.
''Huh?'' Amelia was surprised.
''It doesn't have,'' Rose repeated.
''Then how did you defeat her?'' Amelia was puzzled.
''Well...Sometimes desires can become weaknesses,'' Rose remembered that sentence from a book she borrowed from the high priestess.
''What does that mean?'' Amelia was really confused at this moment.
Rose chuckled at her confused expression before glancing elsewhere, 'I wonder how carmen is faring with Typhon?' She thought seriously.
