Lucy POV

As we headed to Defense Against the Dark Arts, I couldn't help but think about Draco's words back at the Great Hall "I hope you know our father will hear about this." I had one job here, make Mother and Father proud, and I failed! The Trio must have noticed the apprehensive look on my face to see anyone but them. "You alright, Lucy?" Hermione asked, "No," I replied "I feel like every time I argue with my brother he always has some trick up his sleeve to shut me down. Don't get me wrong, I love my brother, he's my person, he's been through it all with me ever since I was born! It's just..." I paused to think "I miss the old Draco, the one that would read me bed time stories, the one that would stand up to Father whenever he took out his anger on me. He's my brother, for Merlin's sake!" Hermione nodded, and Harry stared, sympathetically into my eyes they were such good listeners, Ron was probably only half listening because he was finishing his turkey leg from lunch, trying to finish before we got there. "I just want my brother back," I concluded, tears burned the edges of my eyes but I wouldn't cry, not in front of them in the middle of the hallway. Hermione pulled me into a tight embrace, "It's okay, he's just protective, most older brothers are."

"But you wouldn't hurt me!" I argued.

"Draco might not think that, he probably just doesn't want you going down the 'wrong path'" Harry's voice came from behind me.

"I guess that make sense... from his point of view, of course!" I laughed, "Okay," Hermione said through her small laughs, "let's go to class, we can't be late!"

"Take your time!" Ron yelled as we darted ahead almost done with his turkey leg.

...

No surprise Draco was already at class when we were there, he always had someway of getting to class before everyone else. I told the group I'd go stand by Draco for class, today. They nodded understandingly, and I waved goodbye to them and went to sit by my brother who sent on of his annoyingly good smirks my way, "Come crawling back, eh?" I rolled my eyes "Forgiven me already, eh?" I mimicked. He raised his eyebrows and I sighed annoyed, "Sorry for causing an inconvenience at the Great Hall." I mumbled, crossing my arms, "Yeah that's what I thought." The apology had come so naturally to me, I learnt it as a kid at Aunt Bellatrix's house. If I was ever rude, she'd cast some spell on me then tell me to apologize, one time she lost it with me and had cast the cruciatious curse on me. Let's just say, Auntie Bella got a talking to from my Mother. I had learnt the apology at a young age. After a lot of scolding and spells and forced apologies I had learnt my lesson.

Draco draped his arm around my shoulder. "I'm glad you've come to your senses, Lucy Goose." my eyes widen, "Draco, I told you not to call me that in public, or anywhere for that matter!"

Before Draco could say anything, Professor Lupin waltzed into the classroom, stopping where I was sitting, "Glad you're feeling better." he whispered to me. "Okay class for your opening you shall rise from your seats and form two lines at the door, now pick an elbow partner and get into the line along side them." I looked at Draco as we stood up, "Oh and thank you for doing this quickly we have much to do, much, much to do!" Professor Lupin concluded.

He walked to the front of the line where he turned to face us, "Alright, students follow me, stay in your lines and don't wander off!" Draco, who stood to my right, had his arm wrapped around my back and resting on my left shoulder. It was odd though, it looked like a "I love my little sister" kind of thing but it felt more like a "don't go anywhere without my permission"

Two long corridors later we came to a door, Lupin opened it to see an open staffroom. Uncle Snape sat in a chair writing on a piece of parchment, he looked up with a menacing glare. Lupin was close to shutting the door when Snape held his hand up "Leave it, Lupin, I'd rather not witness this." His voice always sent shivers down my spin, the way he talked without moving half the muscles in his face always frightened me. Without another word Uncle Snape left.
