Dixie's pov:
I went to my room and packed some clothes for a week , then I called Sophie.

D: hi Sophie
S: hey dix !
D: I might get adopted
S: omg that's insane!
D: no ! I don't want to get adopted! But the couple who came made me feel bad , so I'm just staying there for a week. If I like if there I'm gonna stay , if I don't, then I'll come back to the orphanage
S: I hope they treats you well !
D: I ho-
Ma: Dixie are you done ?
D: yeah I am. Ok posey I gtg , bye ilysm !
S: ilym ! ( hangs up )

I took my bag then went to the principal office, we signed up on some papers then I went to the couples car. I sat in the back while the woman sat in the passenger seat and the man drove.

The woman: my name is Jessica and his name is Cole , you're gonna call us mom and dad but I'm just letting you know. We got married 20 years ago and since that day , we kept trying for a kid , we got a son named Louis , he's 20 . When Louis turned 6 , we tried for an another baby but nothing worked. We went to the hospital and the doctors said that I can't get pregnant anymore. So today , we decided to adopt.
C: we saw you and thought "this is the one". You were just like the girl in our minds. And we will love you more than anybody do.
D: a-am I the first girl who y'all adopted ? Or there's someone before me ?
J: no , we only wanted one girl . And it's you !
D: oh ok
C: do you want more sibling? You already have Louis
D: idc bc we grew up my whole life without a sibling
J: we weren't planning to adopt more.
D: aha
C: we're here !

We walked in the house and it wasn't big and wasn't small , it's cute. They showed me around the house then we went upstairs. They showed me my room and my bathroom. My room was soooo beautiful! It's like these Pinterest rooms . If I'm gonna stay here , I'll stay here for the room only . I unpacked my stuff then I called Sophie.

D: I'm at their house rn.
S: and how is it ?
D: not too big and not too small , it fits us yk. But my room is soooo pretty ! I really like it !
S: cool , and the parents, how are they ?
D: they're so sweet , I already know they're gonna spoil me. And I have a brother , his name is Louis
S: wait so you're gonna stay with them ??
D: idk yet !
S: ok ok

We talked for more 20 minutes then I hanged up I walked out of my room and went to the living room. I saw them in there talking with an another boy , oh it's louis. so I started going back to me room , just to respect their privacy. But they called me back and I sat between them.

J: hey Dixie , come meet your brother !
D: h-hi , I'm d-Dixie
L: Louis ( smiles ) how old are you ?
D: 17
C: do you like your new room ?
D: yeah I do , it's really pretty
C: ( smiles ) im glad you do
D: ( smiles )
J: how about we watch a movie?
C: yeah ofc, what do you say Dixie ?
D: s-sure

They played a movie on and we watched it. Through the movie, I felt coles hand on my shoulder. I flinched a little but then I calmed down. I kinda felt like- idk , it's a good feeling but I never had it before. Maybe I felt...safe ? Yeah , I felt safe. I leaned on his chest and listened to his heartbeats. The sound of them just made me fall asleep.

Jessica's pov:

J: oh she's so cute !
C: should I take her to her room ?
J: ofc you should
C: ok ( picks her up and takes her to her room )
D: ( moves a little)
C: shhh it's okay ( lays her on the bed ) gn princess ( kisses her head then walks out of the room. )
