"It's awful"

"Yeah" Bella sighed
"Be careful" Hazel smiled at her friends concern

"I will" she promised. They both got in the truck and Hazel took the time to study Bella's expression 
"Somethings on your mind" she stated. Bella shook her head though a smile graced her lips as she wondered how hazel figured it out. She ignored Hazel and turned on the engine before pulling the truck out of the parking lot

It has just become an unspoken agreement by the girls where Bella would drop Hazel home after school. Her uncle would take her to school and Bella would pick her up. Bella didn't mind seen as she liked hanging out with Hazel, she was different to her other friends, she was like a breath of fresh air

Hazel didn't mind either. She couldn't drive since she was a terrible driver and she also liked Bella so it was a win win for the pair of them

"Edward was in today" she stated

"Yeah I saw. Did you speak to him? Confront him?"

"I didn't confront him, but I spoke to him during my biology lesson. He was out of town for personal reasons" Hazel nodded along
"But his eyes changed colour. Before they were a black now they were gold" Hazel had noticed that about Jasper before but she obviously didn't have an explanation. To be honest she didn't really care that much as to why
"And then he got all defensive and walked off, blamed it on the fluorescents"

"Maybe he doesn't want you to know he has contacts, got all uncomfortable and all" Bella sighed. What Hazel said had made sense, she was probably reading to much into it

That afternoon hazel's uncle wasn't home again and she didn't really want to be cooped up in her room so she decided to go and take a walk through the woods. She usually did this when she had time and it really cleared her mind

She treaded through the forest thankful she had changed her shoes to an old pair though it wasn't that muddy

She soon came up to a clearing where there was a little river. She smiled and made her way up a tree, climbing really high where she then stared down at the river from there

Jasper had been told by Alice that Hazel was taking a walk in the woods and where to find her so he set off there to make sure that she was okay. However once he got to the clearing he saw it empty

Hazel looked down as Jasper walked to the clearing too and she smiled at the sight of him

"Jasper" she smiled. His eyes snapped up to her then his eyes widened once he saw how she was positioned

She was just sitting on a high tree branch

"What are you doing up there?" He said panicked. She laughed and shrugged

"Just hanging out" he chuckled and covered it with a cough but she still heard it which made her smile more

"How did you even get up there?" He said once he noticed there was no branches low down for her to climb

"I just climbed" she shrugged

"You should get down Darlin" he spoke, his southern drawl coming out as he said it. Her cheeks flushed at the endearment and she nodded. She stood up, and moved down the branch though her foot slipped
