"Wanna talk about yesterday?"

"Sure."

Josh and I sat in his parked car in front of my house.

Right now was not a good time to be spotted by the paparazzi; we don't need a spun narrative.

So as of now, it's avoid public outings together.

"You called me crying. What happened after I left?"

I look down and play with my hands.

"Honestly, I don't know. Right now is just a really rough time that I don't wanna go through alone."

"I get that. I don't want to either."

I look up, meeting his beautiful blue eyes.

"Then let's just not."

"How do we do that?"

"I'm not sure. I just know that all I need is you. As long as you're by my side, I'll be fine, so please, don't leave me."

Tears spill out my eyes; rolling quickly down my cheeks.

"Hey, hey, hey, it's ok!"

He cups my cheek and wipes my tears carefully with his thumb.

"I'm not going anywhere, Ry. I promise."

He reaches over and pulls me into a tight hug.

"Please stop crying, Ry. I hate seeing you like this, especially over him. You deserve so much much than this."

He was still holding onto me.

One hand on the nape of my neck and one around my waist.

It was nice and comforting.

He was familiar, and that's exactly what I needed right now.

After a while, he pulls back and plants a kiss on my forehead.

"You ok?"

I nod my head as I wipe my face with the back of my hand.

"Ok, did you eat today?"

"No."

"Then let's go get some food in your stomach."

A grin grows on my face.

"Ok."

He beams back at me before pulling off.
