It had been six days and seven hours and she hadn't woken up yet. I was told that it was a miracle she was still alive and they didn't know if she would make it or not. I barely left her side. I didn't want to leave her. I was petrified of what might happen to her if I left her alone.

She lost a lot of blood. The wound was deep and the healers told me that they didn't understand how she didn't die on the spot. Perhaps she was luckily. Perhaps I was lucky, because I couldn't live without her. I just couldn't. She was as important as the air I breathed. She was everything to me.

Some of the scratches and the bruises were starting to fade and the cut on her lips was also healing, but she didn't show any good sign. Except for breathing. I was grateful for every breath she took, but I needed her to wake up. I would go crazy without her. She had to understand that. There were so many wrongs I needed to right, but I could only do that if she woke up.

"Hey, you haven't eaten," Mayan said as she walked inside the chamber. "If you'd like, I can spend some time with her until you get some rest," Mayan offered, but I shook my head.

"No, I'm okay. I want to be with her," I told her. I was still holding Sedra's hand. I didn't know how long I had been holding it, but I didn't feel like letting it go.

"Did she move? Did she do anything?" Mayan asked in a small voice, but I shook my head.

"I wish... She's so still. Had it not been for how her chest keeps rising and falling, I'd have thought that she was dead," I muttered. "I wish she had never fought with us. I wish she had never jumped in front of her uncle's sword to save me."

"You would have done the same to save her," Mayan reminded me and I looked down.

After she left the chamber, I started to rub small circles on the back of Sedra's hand. I had barely been sleeping, so when exhaustion decided to take over me, I couldn't fight it and I gave in to sleep.

I didn't know for how long I slept, but when my ears picked up the sound of soft moans, I immediately jolted from my sleep. I looked at her face and glimpsed a slight twitch.

"Sedra, can you hear me?" Was she really waking up? Was I imagining all of that?

"Y-Yes," she whimpered. A sob threatened to escape me. She was alright. She was going to be alright.

"Thanks, God!" I kissed her forehead. I watched her as she opened her eyes and it felt like my soul had just been given a second chance.

"Can you please give me water?" she whispered and I immediately nodded. I poured some water in a cup and helped her sit up, then I placed it carefully on the tip of her lips.

Once she finished drinking, she placed her head on my shoulder and closed her eyes. "Please tell me Hood is dead," she mumbled, glancing up at me.

"He's dead. A lot happened, Sedra. All his group has been caught. It's over, sweetheart. You're safe," I assured her.

"I'm so sorry. I never meant to hurt you. Well... maybe my intentions were different when I first came here, but I swear, a lot of things have changed. Ever since our first date when you took me to the tavern." Her eyes brimmed with tears as she spoke and I just shook my head.

"I know. I know you love me and I promise, I have never stopped loving you. Not even for a second. I hate myself for telling you I hated you. I was a liar. I could never hate you. How could I? I can't even believe I managed to utter those words. I'm so so so sorry," I said, kissing her temple as she nuzzled her head in the crook of my neck.

"I betrayed you. I get it. I'm not mad at you," she murmured.

"Everything seemed so small when you were dying in my arms. This was the worst moment of my life. You were right there, and I was helpless. I didn't know what to do and then you... you closed your eyes and my world crumbled. For days, I've been sitting her, hoping you'd make a small move or open you eyes, but you were still, so still. For six days. All I could do was watch your chest rise and fall to make sure you were alive.

"I don't care why you originally came here. You said it yourself, everything changed. You're everything I want and I'm not letting you go. I can't let you go," I told her and I felt her carefully wrap her arms around me. "Stop moving. Your wound still needs to heal," I said, caressing her long hair.

"I'm fine," she said, looking at me with a small smile. I couldn't believe that she was alive. It felt like a dream to see her talking to me, smiling at me and hugging me.

As I helped her to stand up and watched her move, I realized how perfect she was for me. She was my second half, the one who completed me.

"Are you ready to rule your kingdom, Sedra Orman?" Her smile was big when I called her by her real name.

"As long as you're with me," she whispered and I leaned down to kiss her soft lips. Everything felt so right when she was in my arms.

Everything felt complete.
