"I don't know what to say" I was holding back the tears, I knew I was going to care so what did it matter. Me and Justin explained the whole story.
"So your actually Lottie Hill" Chris said.
"Yes I am"
"Well do you happen to know anyone called Aaron Hill?" Chris asked
"No I don't think so"
"I just thought because the surname" Chris said
"Do you know him?" I asked confused
"Oh yeah just a chap that used to work with me as a Saturday job when he was your age. Lovely guy." Chris added.
"The other room Lottie" Justin grabbed my arm and whispered.
He led me through to the living room.
"Wow" I said as I sat on a white leather sofa, my toes sinking into the soft, thick carpet.
"Anyway, what if Aaron's your brother!" Justin said excitedly
"No, I bet it's a coincidence. we will ask your dad about him. His height, hair colour and stuff like that" I said feeling smart
"Let's go"
"Of course I'll tell you about him, he was tall, blonde hair actually I have a picture with him." Chris pulled out a picture from an album
"Omg he looks like in the other picture" I whispered to Justin
"Leave this to me. How old was he in this picture and where did he go when he left work?" Justin asked his dad
"Well this was when he started with me in 2009 so 14. And he left to go to Ireland or something with his girlfriend."
Chris said with a smile
"That would make him 20 now and Ireland!" Justin whispered
"Look we're not even sure he's my brother" I whispered back to him slightly too sternly.
"I'm sorry, let's talk later" I said.
I stayed for a bit longer and then Chris drived me home and offered to pick me up for work in the morning.
"Thank you and have a nice night Chris" I shouted back
"And you!"
I opened the door to Moon yowling. " I know I'm sorry, I was out, you understand."
A text came through on my phone
Thank you for such a great weekend
J xx
I'm so happy he enjoyed it I gave Moon a squeeze and replied
No, Thank you I had an amazing time.
L xx
I felt so....so special. That even though I was living in a grotty old flat and had a job that didn't pay much I still had everything I could ever need and that's all because of Justin. He's help me have the courage to find my brother and I'm not going to give up any time soon.
