"Jisoo?" an elder women who looks a lot like Jisoo, asks as she comes out from the house
"E-eomma!" Jisoo stutters out as she looks in her mother's direction
She looks my way and speaks while still eyeing me, "Who's this?"
I immediately bow respectfully and introduce myself formally.
"Hello, I am Park Chaeyoung. I'm Jisoo's friend. It's a pleasure to meet you"
Jisoo looks at me in shock.
"Ahh, don't be so formal" her mom smiles and gently pats my shoulder
So this is where Jisoo got her smile from...
"You should stay for dinner" Jisoo's mom tells me
"Ah, well...I umm-" I stammer while glancing at Jisoo, but she interrupts me
"Eomma, she's busy" Jisoo tells her mom
"Are you really busy?" Her mother asks me, her mood plummeting
"Well...not really" I truthfully say and she beams
"See, baby Chu? She has time to eat dinner with us! C'monnnn! It'll be good" she smiles and takes my hand, pulling me in the house.
Baby Chu?
I chuckle and turn back to see Jisoo face palming and blushing in embarrassment.
Once we're in the house, I notice we're in the living room.
"You two can wait here until I finish cooking" she smiles and walks off
Jisoo walks to sit on the couch and she motions for me to sit too, so I go.
"Baby Chu?" I ask her, once I'm on the couch
"Ah...she called me that ever since I was born. It's sort of embarrassing" she tells me with a shy smile.
"Ani, it's cute" I say with a chuckle
"Really?" she asks
"Eo. Somehow, it matches you" I reply
"Thanks" she smiles and silence fills the air
"The reason Jennie fainted..." she starts talking and I look at her in the eyes
"What is it?" I ask her
"She was overwhelmed from remembering things" she continues and I give her a confused, go-on look
"She's starting to get her memories back" she explains
"What? How is that possible?"
"I guess when she told me about her losing her memories...it triggered something and all a sudden, she's remembering things"
That's strange.
"Do you know how and when Jennie lost her memory?" I ask her
"I don't know...she only said that her friend told her she was at a bar and then next minute she was at the hospital." She answers me, furrowing her eyebrows as she thinks
At the bar? She got drunk, had some accident, and lost her memory?
"Let's not assume anything" Jisoo says, breaking off my thoughts
"How can I not assume anything? She literally cheated on her lover. Losing her memory because of too much drinking is just as pathetic" I spit out, venom dripping from my voice that makes her flinch
