Gosh, why am I feeling like this?
This isn't right
I can't feel this way
"Chaeyoung!" Lisa yells, startling me
"YEAH?! SORRY!" I yell in shock and stop in my tracks
"What are you thinking about?" Seulgi asks, furrowing her eyebrows and also stopping
"N-nothing" I say and Lisa raises her eyebrow as she stops walking and turns to me
"Please Chaeng, we know you're thinking of something" Lisa says and Seulgi nods
"..."
They both look at me, expecting me to say something.
"I'm not, I'm just still shocked at what happened" I half-lie because it was sort of true that I was still processing that whole murder thing.
"Alright, but if something is bothering you, you know we will always be here to listen" Seulgi says and I nod, then we continue walking
We walk in silence until I decide to say something.
"It's only the first day of school and so much has happened"
"Oh my gosh, that's so true" Seulgi says
"I'm kind of excited," Lisa says and we look at her, questioningly
"Every other school year has been boring because it was always the same thing, but now that Jisoo is here, things have changed." She continues
"That's true" I say
"I wonder what other things will happen" Seulgi says
"Who knows? Maybe Chaeyoung will fall in love with her and-" I hit Lisa, interrupting her
"Yahh!" I yell at her and she laughs
"You never know, Park Chaeyoung!" She says and Seulgi laughs along with her
"I hate you guys" I say and roll my eyes
"We love you too" Seulgi says
"Well, I should get going. See you guys tomorrow!" Lisa says and we nod
I bid goodbye to my cousin and we all go on our own ways.
I was about to start walking but suddenly I hear someone call my name behind me. I turn around to be met with a pair of chocolate eyes and heart-shaped lips.
"J-Jisoo"
"Hi Chaengramji" she says and smiles
"Don't call me that." I say, coldly
"Alright alright" she says and chuckles
I look down and crack a smile
"It's like you become a different person after school" she says and I look at her with a confused look
"Right now you're smiling and you were worried about Jennie earlier, but at school you don't care about anyone and you act like you have no heart." She explains and I listen to her
"But why?" She asks and I look down, not knowing what to say
"I guess I just don't like people seeing my vulnerable side" I say, still looking down.
