Nathan was trying his hardest to make me hate him.

Lately, Elizabeth had been over to his house pretty often than usual and his blinds were always opened where I could see them kissing and playing around.

I knew she was his girlfriend but why did I get the feeling he was pushing it into my face?

What the hell did I do to him?

I didn't even give Brad a response yet to his request of us starting over.

I was hesitant.

What was I waiting for? Nathan?

I would be waiting in vain because Nathan would never come to me. He had a girlfriend and he made it clear that I was no one special to him.

He would do the same things for another girl.

"Aren't you going to eat?" Vicky asked me while we sat together at lunch in the cafeteria.

I shook my head for the millionth time, staring at the untouched tray of food in front of me. "Nope, I'm not hungry."

She sighed. "Come on Chels, you have to eat. What's wrong, is it Nathan again?"

I didn't respond.

She knew the answer.

Vicky gave up trying to force me to eat and started on her cheese sandwich. "I just don't understand why he is completely ignoring you all of a sudden, though."

I sighed. "If he could at least tell me what I did, then I would feel okay, but he just said harsh stuff and bam, doesn't talk to me for a whole week."

Vicky nodded. "Yeah that's pretty weird."

Instantly, her eyes shifted to someone and I followed her gaze to a laughing Nathan who was sitting with Elizabeth in his lap while saying something to another guy at their corner in the cafeteria.

I clenched my jaw in anger and attempted to stand when Vicky gripped my hand. "What are you doing?"

"I need to talk to him."

"No, Chels, you're going to expose everything. Elizabeth is there, after school you try to talk to him, alright?"

"Vee, I won't expose anything, I just need to talk to him, that's all."

Vicky sighed and slowly nodded. "Okay, do what you must."

I gave her a small smile and got up, marching over to Nathan's table, all the while my feet wobbling beneath me in fear.

His eyes spotted me as I walked to him and I noticed he swallowed hard and shifted discomfited in his spot.

"Chelsy!" Jared grinned. "What brings your fine ass to our side of the table?"
