Another reference sheet! I posted one of my fantribe the JewelWings a couple weeks ago, so now I present you with the DactylWings!

They're dragons... but pterosaur.

I drew my DactylWing bean Preon for this ref sheet, but DactylWings can come in a HUGE variety of colors, beaks, crests and tails. It all depends on what species pterosaur they were born to look like, and they were often named after the prefix of that pterosaur. Preon looks like a Preondactylus, hence his name.

Other examples of names that I mentioned in the sheet is Pteran (Pteranodon), Quetzal (Quetzalcoatlus) or Dimorph (Dimorphodon).


And yes, it's PTEROSAUR. Pterodactyl is NOT the actual name of those flying dinosaur-like creatures. There's a species of pterosaur called Pterodactylus, but that's just one species. They're not dinosaurs either, they're just related (not me spewing dinosaur facts cuz i went through a ✨phase✨)
