It's the year of the Rabbit now hehe
The dress featured in this piece is a traditional Chinese lunar year dress that people wear, but anything red and gold is fine too since those are the colors symbolizing good luck. People also exchange red envelopes full of money that you keep under ur pillow for good luck too!
Tonight I think my family is gonna have 火锅 (huo guo, which is hot pot), then exchange red envelopes and maybe watch fireworks or parades. Before, I didn't quite have any other asian friends to share the experience with but this year I made quite a few, so we might go out and do something as well :D
