They came with weapons in the night,
Day shall not see the secretive
Violence of the corrupt.
Paid in hordes of gold to
Terrorise the innocent,
Hiding behind official ranks.
We have held our tongues and
Watched in silence.
No, we are silenced and taught to
Turn a blind eye,
As they rob the orphans and the vulnerable.
The evil have filled their wallets till
They are torn with tears and blood
Of the helpless.
No court no judge no system can
Save them.
I see them cry day and night.
I have no power to save one
But I write songs of their sorrow.
I hear God weeping for His children,
Turned into carpets the ruthless walk upon.
In the name justice.
