The trip into Wall Rose was a blur of sadness and guilt, but Tanjiro did his best to push the emotions down. All he could worry about was protecting Nezuko to the best of his ability.
Halfway through, a kid near Tanjiro got to his feet, stomping towards the edge of the ship, his face set in a fierce glare. The scent of sadness was strong in the air, but the scent of his anger cut through it like a knife.
Eren. What's he doing?
Eren stalked towards the railing, glaring with tear-reddened eyes out over the town as it passed by.
"I'm going to kill them all."
"Eren," Mikasa whimpered, reaching out after him.
"What's wrong, Eren?" Armin tried to pull him back but the boy shook him off, clenching his bruised fists against the railing.
Tanjiro watched in worry as he hissed, "I'll kill them all! I'll wipe every last one of them off the face of the earth! With these hands..."
How words struck a chord deep within Tanjiro. Kill every last one of them? This boy was focusing on more than just himself and his family; saving the entire world? And here he was only worrying about his sister.
"Eren..." Armin whispered, staring at his friend in worry.
