...

"Hey Midoriya...

Do you have any relatives or older siblings by chance...?"
Hawks asked as he stared a Midoriya with a surprised smile.

Midoriya fixed his head towards him as he weakly smiled, his acting skills were coming in clutch.
"I was a homeless street kid...

I've been alone for as long as I can remember.
Until I met bakugo who introduced me to my mother...
She adopted me the same day.

So honestly... I don't know.

And I don't want to know..."
He said with a sad sigh.

Hawks's eyes slightly widened as he felt guilt pinch his heart, "I'm sorry for asking.
It's just...
Er-
Sorry"
Hawks stuttered as he had no way to explain why he asked.

"It's okay"
Midoriya said with a sad but forgiving face.
"Completely fooled him.
He must've asked if I had an older sibling regarding the fact we met 11 years ago around the time the killings began.

I should've cleared myself off the radar for now but it's likely later that he'll keep thinking about this and realize that vampires can easily lie.

But it's fine.

He'll be dead the week after next week.

Before that time comes, I just have to be as innocent as possible.
Everything I've done in the past came with it's reasonable explanation so even if he tries to accuse me there isn't any actual evidence aside from assumption."
Midoriya thought to himself as he held back a devious grin.

"Why the hell would you ask that? I already told you he's adopted"
Bakugo hissed as he paused his meal to verbally attack.

"I...-"

"It was insensitive!
Even I, SOMEONE KNOWN FOR BEING INSENSITIVE, would know not to ask that!?"
Bakugo yelled once more.

"It's okay Bakugo, he just wanted to confirm and I think that's fair"
Midoriya said as he thrived off the drama.
He couldn't show that, but deep down he was enjoying it.

"But Deku!?
He asked when he shouldn't have!?"

"Hm.
Well Hawks...
Do you want to explain why you asked...
Maybe then Bakugo won't be so mad?"
Midoriya said, still smiling above all.

"I asked because...
I thought I ran into him a while ago.
But when I look at him now there are some drastic differences.
So i thought it was a relative of his...
Which is why I asked.."
Hawks said as he frowned slightly.

"You still had no room to ask, you know how many doppelgangers exist out there??"

"I know and I'm sorry..."

"Tch"

"It's okay.
Besides I've already moved on from the fact I might have possible family.
I'm not looking to meet them."

Aizawa sat there in the background, happy something had come up where all attention was averted to Midoriya as he didn't have to force himself to eat.

Instead he just teleported the food away when no one was looking to make it seem as if he had been eating.

"...maybe that's enough of a visit for today"
Aizawa said awkwardly as he stood up to change the subject.

"Again I apologize!
Please do visit again, have a good rest of your day"
Hawks said as he sincerely apologized and walked the both of them out.

As soon as the door shut behind them, they walked to an alleyway and teleported back home.

"Well that was something"
Aizawa commented as he immediately walked over to the sink and washed off his tongue of the disgusting flavor that had still been lingering.
