"Leo?" I ask as I wake up.

He jumps awake and comes to the bed. "Hey. How are you?" "I'm fine."

"You had a panic attack yesterday. Your brother won't let you keep this secret any longer. I'm sorry but I'm suppose to take you to Ian's office now that you're awake so you can tell us everything."

Now tears prick my eyes. "No Leo, please." He looks so guilty.

"I'm sorry. It's not my choice. But I can give you time to work up the courage."

He holds my hand for what feels like hours before kissing my cheek and then we walk to the office.

My brother and Ian are waiting for us and I sit down.

I probably look like a mess. My hair is in a messy bun with strands falling down and I have on a long sleeve black shirt with leggings. I'm bitting my nails as I'm trying to speak.

"I-"

Leo interrupts me.

"No."

We all look to him.

"What?" Ian asks.

"I said no." He states before continuing.

"She doesn't have to tell you anything if she doesn't want too. She doesn't owe us anything and if she wants to keep it a secret then she has every right too. So leave her alone."

Everyone looks very confused, including myself, but I feel great about how he stands up for me. He's so amazing and it just reminds me of how much I love him.

"She needs to tell us who she's running from and why." Mt brother states.

"No she doesn't." My lover states right back.

Ian is sitting back and watching this play out. I think he wishes he had popcorn.

'Brother vs best friend. who will win?'

The thought makes me smile.

Leo looks like he's about to punch my brother and it's now that I realize I should tell them everything. Maybe they can help.

So I take a deep breath and speak. "Wait." They all look at me, waiting for me to finish my sentence.

"It's okay, Leo. I'll tell them."

They all look to me and it's a long moment before I speak.

"I'm running from my husband. He was very abusive and we were married for years. Every time I would do something he would hurt me.

He made me think everything was all my fault. I left years later when he gave me a brain bleed and I had to have major surgery.

I crashed our car and then ran while he was unconscious.

Then I found a guy and got myself a fake ID and finished it by denying my hair and moving to a different city or country every month.

Although you all ruined that by kidnapping me.

I saw him yesterday and it brought back painful memories so I had a panic attack.

If he finds me he won't kill me, he loves me too much. However he will hurt me, more than ever before.

The first- and last- time I tried to escape, I was thrown out our second story window.

He's going to find me sooner or later so I might of we'll just walked up to him.

If he saw me he will catch me.

So now that you all know my secret, are you finally pleased?"

They all look at me like I just told them something insane.

Did I?

"Can I go back to my room now? And you all better hope my husband didn't see me yesterday."

I get up and walk out, Leo following me.

Once I'm in my room he asks "why didn't you tell me?"

"I didn't think it was relevant."

"Don't tell me it wasn't freaking relevant. You're in danger."

"I'm aware, Lee."

"I promise I will protect you from him. I love you." I put my hands on his cheeks. "I love you too." I kiss him gently and he hugs me.

Gavin's pov

I finally found her. I finally found Livia. Smart, beautiful, kind, ignorant, reckless, Livia.

I've missed her so much.

She thought she could escape me but I'm here to show her she's wrong. I even joined a mafia so they could help me.

I've been without my wife for almost a year now. oh how I've missed her.

We could've been pregnant again by now.

It's a shame she lost our last one.

Who were those men she was with?

Is she seeing one of them? No, Livia would never cheat on me. She loves me, just as I love her. We love each other and she's so beautiful.

I will find you, Livia. And I will make sure you never leave me again. I promise.

Livia's pov
Two months later

"Ready?" Leo asks me as we walk to the car. "So ready. Are Ian and Calvin already in the car?" He nods.

We go into the car and drive to town. We've been to many stores but we want to see them all.

Leo and I agreed to look at every store just for fun. While we're looking at books I put my hand on Leo's chest and smile at him.

"I need to run to the bathroom. Be right back."

I kiss his cheek before walking to the restroom.

Once I'm done I walk back out and smile as I see my boyfriend looking at books. We both love books.

As I'm on my way to him something is put over my mouth and when I go to scream I inhale some sort of drug and immediately get very very tired.

All I see before I pass out is my husband smiling at me.

"I've found you, my love."

Leo's pov

My brother and Calvin run into the store looking distressed.

"What? What's wrong?"

"Where is my sister?" Calvin asks demandingly.

"She went to the bathroom, why?"

"We've spotted Gavin." I think he's about to say more but I immediately run.

Right outside the bathroom door we find scuffles in the floor that look like they're from heels. Probably her heels.

We run over to the clerk and look at the security footage. She couldn't even scream before she passed out.

Gavin took her.

He took the woman I love.

I'm going to get her back.

I'm going to end this man.

That is a promise.
