Shinobu sets his pen down, "This is asinine. You're wasting my time at this point. I already know about all of this, I've read report after report on all of these new locations. I hope the rest of you have as well. Is there something in this segment that will come as a surprise to me or not?"
Daiki flips through his papers searching for anything that might appease his leader. He gulps, "I don't believe so."
Shinobu nods, "Okay. Everyone make sure you read up on that report if you haven't already. Next? Don't waste any more of my time, either."
Daiki places a stack of papers to the side and looks at the new compilation of information to go over. He gulps as he starts to go over reports on new recruits and their progress on integrating into the plan. He starts to go down a list of promising prospects and people who would be better used as little more than pawns. This part is something Shinobu finds intriguing. He likes hearing about their quirks or lack thereof. His mind always races with plans to utilize these people to their fullest extent. His face lights up with a sinister smile that sends chills through the body of every person in the room, they all know that look, the look of a man that is planning every way to wear anybody not worth his attention down to the bone.
He's snapped from his thoughts at the sound of someone knocking on the door to the conference hall. He ignores it and brings his attention back to Daiki's disclosure of information if only for a moment before being interrupted by the knocking again. Shinobu holds a hand up, Daiki stopping dead in his tracks. He looks to Yui, "Open it."
Yui stands up and quickly scurries to unlock and open the door. Just outside is one of the newer people of his inner circle, disposable nonetheless. His eyes are wide and his chest heaves as he tries to catch his breath. Shinobu sighs, "Come on in. I'm guessing you have something important to say if you had the stupid idea to interrupt my meeting."
He walks in and stands at the opposite end of the table. He takes a deep breath, "I'm sorry to intrude, but Sakura got word of the hero commission setting their sights on us and sent me to let you know."
Shinobu's eyebrows raise, "Ah. So, what made her draw this conclusion?"
The man fidgets with his hands, surely uncomfortable with the attention being on him at this point in time. "One of the people she sent to work for the commission came back and told her that we were in their database."
"And? What course of action are they taking? Why does this matter right now ?" Shinobu pries. "Why couldn't this have waited until my meeting was over? What am I going to do that I couldn't have done twenty or thirty minutes later?" He can feel his anger starting to well up inside him, it makes his hands itch.
"Well, it appears that they've sent people out to spy on us. Two at the very least," he answers.
"Do we have names?" He asks, his body rattling with the urge to lash out. He hasn't had a chance to express his anger fully in a while and this poor bastard just made himself a target.
He shakes his head, "No sir."
Shinobu chuckles humorlessly. Locked in . "So, let me get this straight," he starts standing to his feet. He slowly makes his way to the end of the table where the other man is standing. He can almost taste the relief that will come from this man's demise. Excitement surges through him at the thought of getting his hands dirty. It's been a while. I've had my anger and hands bound for too long. It'll be nice to let loose a little. "You interrupted an important meeting of mine, unannounced, to come in here and tell me the bad news that frankly could have waited," he starts.
The man begins to tremble before him, "I'm sorry."
"And not only do you have bad news, but you provide no solutions because you lack the basic information needed for me to take action." His hand reaches out and clasps the man's chin with a vice grip. His eyes cut across to his assistant, Riku. "Bottom drawer, Riku." Riku stands and makes his way out of the room, knowing exactly what he's been sent to grab. "Tell me, what in your right mind compelled you to believe that this was a good idea?"
