"Never"

"Does she have a medical history of diabetes or blood pressure issues?"

"Not that I know of"

"And has she been exposed to any kind of illness going around?
Seasonal flu/cold?"

"No.."

"Okay then.
You will be called shortly after doctors stabilize her condition to go visit her and find out what's wrong"

"Thank you"
Midoriya said with a smile as he went and sat down.

"What a pain.
All those questions just because she passed out?
Humans are so fragile.
But this is fine...
After this I won't have to see her pathetic face."
Midoriya thought to himself as he patiently waited.
He found feel Bakugo spam message him but he wouldn't reply.

After 25 minutes, he was shortly called to her room.

When he walked in, Inko was hooked onto main machines and had an IV inserted in her arm.
Her clothes had been changed into a hospital gown and 2 doctors had been standing by her.

"Perfect, this sells it"

"Hello Izuku Midoriya, we have been inform you are her son.
Your mother is in stable condition as of now.

We did a couple tests on her and the results came out.

We can confirm she doesn't have a brain tumor.
We can also confirm that this wasn't the result of overuse of substance, trauma to the head, or any medical conditions.

But the issue is...
We cannot figure out what exactly wrong with her.

Did she overwork herself before she passed out?"
The doctor asked, having never expierenced a case like this.

With all the technology and quirk power they had, results of all the scans and tests they had done had come out quite fast.

"No. We both split the work in the house and I take the heavy load.
She also doesn't have a job..."

"Strange...
Well we cannot confirm whether or not she's in a coma as not enough time has passed.
But because of her current condition she can't leave the hospital.
And because of the incident in Japan today visiting hours had to be cut down.

So you only have 1 hour left in here.
But you can visit tomorrow and all the days after to check up on her condition.
Sorry"
The doctor explained.

Midoriya nodded his head, "...thank you"

"We'll give you some alone time.
Don't worry young man, we'll figure out what's wrong and help her"
The doctors said as they waved their hands and walked out.

Midoriya waited for them to leave before wiping his pitiful expression off his face.
He pulled out his phone, bakugo had basically blown up his notifications.

"What hospital Deku!?"
"Where are you?!"
"Where!?"
"Where?!"
"Where?!"
"My mom wants to visit!?"
"Where?!
"DEKU REPLY"
"DEKU"
"DEKU"
"DEKU"
"HEY"
"IS THIS A SICK PRANK!?"
"WHERE"

"Sorry.
The doctors had come in to explain the situation to me.
I'm at *** hospital in Musutafu"

"FINALLY"

Within 20 minutes the Bakugo's had arrived.
Katsuki and mitsuki had come with a handful of items.

"What did the doctors say?"
Mitsuki asked as she looked over at her friend.

"Her condition is stable but...
They have no idea what's wrong.
They scanned her, checked her blood, and did many tests but they still can't figure it out.
They have yet to confirm it as a coma because not enough time has passed but she can't leave the hospital"
Midoriya said, repeating the information in a more dramatic tone.

"Oh you poor thing...
Not only is your mom is a bad condition but you had to miss the festival too...

If you ever need anything please just let me know.

It can be anything...
Money, food, help.

We're neighbors and friends, practically family."
Mitsuki said as she handed Midoriya a box full of goods.

She then put the balloons and other gifts she had bought by Inko's hospital bed.

Katsuki glanced at Izuku who had been staring at Inko.
He felt bad, a little guilty even.
But...
He couldn't help but feel like something had been off.

"I shouldn't have spammed him...
He probably feels horrible because of what happened...
But ...

Why doesn't he look as sad as he should be...?
Is he the type to not show it.

He looks...

Happy.

No!
What am I thinking?!
This is Deku we're talking about and he's as close with his mom as one can be!
He loves her to death and hates whenever anything bad happens...!

If he didn't care about her, he wouldn't have brought her to the hospital to begin with!
What's wrong with me...!?"
Katsuki thought to himself as he shook his head and pinched himself.

Midoriya glanced over at Katsuki, he noticed the obvious self argument he was having with himself.

"Hm I was too noticeable wasn't I.
Well.
I didn't act all those years ago just to be seen through now."
Midoriya thought to himself as he took a deep breath in and glanced back at Inko.

'tears' had begun to stream down his face, they were really just crocodile tears.

Katsuki glanced back at Izuku who had been full on in tears.
"Eh?! I really am I horrible person!
I just assumed he was happy when he clearly isn't!
What the hell is wrong with me"

"Here..."
Mitsuki handed Midoriya a little napkin to wipe away his tears.
"I know it's difficult but the doctors here will figure out what's wrong.
You have nothing to worry about!"
Mitsuki said as she tried to keep him optimistic about the situation.

"...thank you"
He forced out as Katsuki turned around and walked out, dissapointed in himself.

"Well then.
I'll leave you alone with your mom.
Again, if you need anything just call"

She left the room.
Once the coast was clear Midoriya walked out the hospital.
He teleported home and let out a sigh of relief.

"Finally."
He said aloud as he released his true form.
He looked down at the little gift mitsuki had given him.
It was a box of cake with the words "get well soon" written on in Japanese.

"How useless"
He scoffed as he threw it in the trash.

"Now my real plans can begin."
