Pagkatapos ng misa ay umalis na rin kami ni Haden dahil may pupuntahan pa kami. Ayaw niyang sabihin kung saan 'yon kaya hindi ko na siya kinulit. Maybe a surprise?
Habang nasa daan ay nakatingin lang ako sa bintana para tingnan ang dinadaanan namin. Baka iligaw niya ako mamaya eh, mahirap na charr.
"Why are you so quiet, Lauren?" agad naman akong napalingon sakanya.
"Huh?"
"I said why are you so quiet? You can turn on the radio if you want, baby. Hindi ako sanay na tahimik ka" he said while focusing on driving.
"Gusto ko lang tingnan yung dinaraanan natin. Hindi kasi ako familiar dito eh tapos ayaw mo naman sabihin sakin kung saan tayo pupunta"
"Because it's a surprise, babe. Hindi na yon surprise kung sasabihin ko sayo yun" well, he got a pointh tho.
"Then why are you doing this?" agad namang napakunot ang noo niya sa tanong ko.
"What?"
"This, Haden. Why are you doing this thing?" tinigil niya ang kotse sa isang tabi then he faced me.
"I know that you're not used it but let me tell you this --" he said while staring at me.
"I'm doing these things because I want us to start a new. I know that I've been an asshole since the first day of our marriage but I want to make up for what I did to you before, Lauren"
I can see a sincerity on his eyes when he said those words to me. And because I'm lost of words, I just nodded at him. Telling him that I want to start a new with him and I trust him.
"I want that too, Haden. I want to fix our marriage too" I said to him while still smiling. He smiled at me too then pulled for a kiss. I kissed him back with the same ferocity. Minutes later, he pulled himself on our kiss and kissed me at forehead.
"I want to kiss you more, babe but we're in a driveway. We can continue this late when we arrived to our destination" he said and I can feel my cheeks burning because of what he said.
An hour passed and we arrived to our destination. I can see a beautiful white sand beach from our way. I suddenly faced Haden and here he is, he's going to me while he carried two bags in his hands.
"H-Haden" I called him and he just smiled at me.
"Yes, Lauren. We're at the beach. Remember our promise that we're to beach together?" he asked and I remember that day when we promise that we're going to a beach someday when we're both successful.
~flashback~
After we took the CPALE, we decided to go to a cafe to chill ourselves since we've been stressed these past few weeks.
"Finally Matt, natapos na rin exam. Sana makapasa tayong dalawa" I said while chilling.
"We both did our best tho. Sana masuklian ang paghihirap natin. Napakahirap kaya ng ginawa natin para sa exam na yan" he said and I nodded my head because I agreed on what he said.
"Anyway, Matt, kung may gusto kang puntahang lugar to chill, saan naman yon?" napaisip naman siya sa tanong ko.
"Maybe Paris or Maldives? I also want to go to Thailand to chill, how about you?"
"I want to go to beach. I haven't been there yet so I want to go ther to chill" hindi siya makapaniwala sa sinabi ko.
"Di nga? Mayaman naman kayo so bakit never ka pang nakapunta don?"
