after Eddie was done crying, they both walked to Eddie's room.
"I swear harrington if you tell anybody I broke down infront of you I will literally punch you" Eddie laid back on the bed, chuckling
"you know I would never do that to you, one that's just really fucked up, two your lucky your my cru-" steve stopped immediately what he was about to say
"what was that, princess?" Eddie smirked at him, sitting up and pulling steve face closer to his own
"n-nothing-" steve's face was fully red, looking at Eddie's marvelous lips
"awww, is my darling all flustered?" Eddie teased him, dropping his hand away from steve's chin
"Eddie.. serious question" steve looked Eddie in the eyes
"alright, what's up handsome?" Eddie winked at him "sorry yeah serious" he put his serious face on
"Eddie munson.." steve grabbed both of Eddie's hands "I've liked you for a while and was wondering if you would like to go out with me!" steve snapped at him, looking away from Eddie right after
Eddie paused for a moment, then giving steve a sweet smile "aw princess, you're finally confessing to me how cute"
steve leaned towards eddie "will you?"
eddie didn't know he was being serious, but out of reaction, he grabbed steve's face and kissing him
steve was shocked, but kissed him back as he felt eddies delicate lips on his own
eddie broke the kiss, looking at the floor "im- I'm sorry.. I shouldn't have done tha-"
steve cut him off "eddie" he smiled at eddie "I enjoyed it, don't be sorry"
Eddie's fave immediately went red "so does this mean.." he looked up at steve, staring at his eyes
"yes, it's a yes from me" steve smiled "instead of you just being a freak, together we will be freaks" he grabbed both of Eddie's hands
Eddie was frozen, he thought all of this was just a dream "you're being serious, right?" Eddie looked at his lips then looked back at steve's eyes
"why would I joke around about something like this? Ed's I like you, I like you a lot" steve pulled eddie closer to himself
Eddie's face was a bright red, just staring at steve perfect eyes "I like you a lot.. as well, princess" Eddie smiled at him
steve blushed at the nickname, giving Eddie a bigger smile "I dont care what anybody says to me, or they try and get me not to like you, I will always like you no matter what, your such an amazing person and I could never get over you"
eddie took one of his hands away from steve's hand, putting his hand on steves chin "do you mean all of this?"
steve without hesitation "I mean every single last bit of what I'm saying, munson" he hugged him
Eddie has never felt this safe with someone before, besides Dustin, steve was the only other person eddie felt safe with, Eddie felt home.
"I love you, Ed's" steve whispered in Eddie's ear, playing with some of his hair
"i love you too, sweetheart" eddie smiled, Eddie finally got with the so called straight dude of the school
"if your a freak munson, together, we are freaks" steve broke the hug, looking at eddie, deeply into his eyes.
