Reela picked up a small bowl filled with the juice of the flowers she had crushed earlier on. "Indeed but alas Chaos is here now. He has taken form in a person with strength enough to contain him."

"It's that boy, isn't it?" Phyllis asked. Her face turned red under the light of the torches.

"I am afraid so. The boy who broke the border hosts in him the godhead of Chaos and by him will Oculmus cause many perils in tis age."

"So,uh, why did Waverly go to him at this time of the night?" Regent asked.

"Tis to be widely known by now that darkness attracts light. The youngling did possibly sense the presence of evil and was drawn to it. Tis be a miracle that she lives now."

"Will she be alright when she wakes up?" Dermot asked, staring at Waverly's sleeping form with deep worry across his face.

Reela gently opened Waverly's mouth and emptied the contents of the bowl into it. "We will find out."

Diarmaid came in at that moment and assessed everything in the room then whispered something into his brother's ear.

"Now?" Dermot asked with a frown.

"Yeah. Right outside." He replied and stole a glance at Waverly.

"She's still unconscious as you can see. Tell them all to go to bed." Dermot ordered. His voice was tainted with irritation.

"They won't leave until they know she's fine." Diarmaid said.

Dermot sighed and walked over to Reela who sat peacefully, staring at Waverly. "Will the medicine abate whatever happened to her?"

"No." Reela answered coolly. "Her mind has gone through the strongest befuddlement and when the time comes that she wakes, she will not be the same. For how long i know it not."

The Nurse turned her head carefully to the small group beside her. "I suggest that ye all take many a step back."

Diarmaid and the others obliged and moved back. Reela looked up at Dermot. "Ye must do likewise, son."

Dermot looked reluctant but he stepped back nonetheless. Just then, Waverly's eyes flew open and she sat up with a loud gasp, startling everyone in the room except for Reela.

She looked about in panic, wondering why the entire place was void of sound and blacker than midnight. A shudder ran down her form as she stepped down from the rock she thought sat on then spread out her arms to feel around for anything sturdy enough to balance against.

"Can she see us?" Regent inquired out of concern.

"No." Reela answered quietly. "Keep as still as ever now."

Waverly moved slowly, breathing in labored pants. Then suddenly she felt something move in front of her and an Incubus came out of nowhere. It grabbed her arm and she gave a piercing scream.

"Reela, let go." Diarmaid cautioned and rushed toward the Nurse. Waverly was flailing roughly in an attempt to free herself and had begun to hit the Elfin in many places.

As Diarmaid approached, Waverly perceived him as something even deadlier. She shuffled backwards and knocked a table over. The others rushed in to calm her down but Waverly only perceived them as evil creatures. She screamed and ran around the room ducking, moving away from reach and slamming herself into things. She succeeded in turning the room upside down and darted outside where a small crowd had gathered, those who wished to see her after hearing of her plight.

Waverly shrieked at the sight of all the dead souls of strange people closing in on her with their arms outstretched in a bid to receive her as one of them. She squealed and shifted, detaching herself from the touch of the dead around her.
