Chapter 80: Strawberries and Pink (Part 1)

And it's his size.

Before he could even ask about the slipper's origin, Hiro casually slips them on his numb and frozen feet and steps back.

The man grins at his confused and dumbfounded expression. He quickly leans in and gave his cheek a swift peck before he escapes and silently closes the door, leaving him inside baffled while staring anxiously down at his fingers, afraid to move or else he'll break something out his bank can afford.

That naughty cub!

He glances at the window beside him and saw Hiro walking towards a certain direction, striding farther away from the car and he was completely oblivious of the abrupt shift of grim expression on his face.

His shoulder flinches and he backs away, startled. His entire back was now finely pressed against his seat when an unforeseen large number of men appear out of nowhere.

They were coming from unspecific secluded areas he didn't know existed until now. Their large number was alarming, but when he saw they were uniformed in the same black dressing as Shun Ahjussi, his fear somehow lessens.

He saw them run desperately in sync to one place—towards the proud man himself who stood superior and mighty among them in his light clothing.

Jin wished to study his fine dominant presence further, but Hiro's lean back was facing him and with the thick tinted windows, he can barely see or hear anything from outside.

The numbers of them he saw way back from their university was nothing compared to this and he wonders what kind of work Hiro does to have this insane number of people who beckon at his call. Or maybe he really is an important figure who needs this much security with given knowledge of his family's legacy.

He has been curious about that, too. He searched his name on the internet and his doubts about whether his records are even available on public searches were right.

Giving up and deciding to patiently wait for him instead, his eyes sets in front of him and there he saw his pink bag above a pastel pink feather wool-covered chair.

His bag's front was facing him and it seems too snug and comfortable from where it was placed.

Inside his bag is where his phone lies.

He could still call his mother to check wherever she is.

He bit his lower lip. The car reeks with a faint cotton candy smell and Pink is literally everywhere. As much as it's weird for him to know this other side of Hiro existed, he's pleased to see his also favored color in luxury.

It's a completely satisfying sight to see.

Before he could even stand in planning to get his bag, he jumps on his seat when the door to his right opens, and Hiro with a visible bitter mood hops in and slides closer to his side.

The car starts immediately when he entered and all along Jin didn't even know that he wasn't alone inside the car. There was a windshield covering and separating the backseat from the front seat, and focusing his eyes on the matter, he can see there is indeed someone maneuvering the wheels in front.

Jin looks down at his fingers on his lap, bothered by the heavy silence and discomforting ambiance in the air.

When Jin looked over to his left again, the sour mood written on the man's face was long gone like it was never there before. Hiro's gaze didn't look like he could strangle someone on sight like a while ago, instead, they were in its usually calm and relaxed glow.

What a moody man.

And it still gives him chills whenever his mood swings hit differently.

"Did you wait long?"

Jin shakes his head at his question. If he recalls, it only took him a minute to sit anxiously on his seat and sip every pinkness of this car through his head.

The young fellow breathes in before stating his worries, "Do you happen to know where my mother is?"

Surprisingly his phobia of riding cars had meaningfully slipped his mind.

How couldn't he when he's momentarily distracted by the sight and smell around him?

He bit his tongue and suppressed his urge to laugh at the strawberry pillows he sees on the long chair adjacent to theirs.

Hiro presumptuously hums and reaches out on the table, "Thirsty?"

Jin nods, waiting for the reply he needed.

"Iced or warm?" Hiro's brows were furrowed as he exchanged looks to the supplies under the table.

"Warm," Jin responds. "The car . . ."

Hiro doesn't reply but reaches out for a bottle of water by the side. When he lend him the bottle in his hand, surprisingly they were extremely warm, but not hot enough to burn him.

It was the same warmness his palms liked touching—the same warmness he felt on Hiro's body.

"Your mother is at the main mansion. I heard there were delayed materials delivered that are needed for the preparation for the reception."

Jin couldn't help but frown at what he heard and he hates himself for feeling that way. It's finally tomorrow and he despised himself for feeling this unavoidable sense of disappointment.

Seeing him occupied and spacing out, Hiro leans in and nuzzles his head on the space between his neck and shoulder, "Don't frown. She was reluctant to leave you. You woke up an hour late to have missed stopping her departure."

Jin's cheeks puffed. How does he know his thoughts too well?

"But what do you think?"

Jin tries to see his face from his neck without moving his head but failed, "Hmm?" Think of what?

Hiro stares at him with a visible and frown on his lips. That's not the response he was expecting. Does he not like it? "I see. We shall reaccustomed everything."

Jin's eyes blink rapidly, utterly oblivious of what he's saying.
