TRIGGER WARNING: FOR MATURE AUDIENCES- mentions of self harm, suicide, abuse, rape, SA,

"Alright, everyone. Phones away, class is officially starting now!" called an awfully cheery voice as the door to room 229 slammed closed. I shot up, flinching at the harsh fluorescent lights of room 229, the science room. I've always hated having science in the morning, but lucky me, I was stuck with it from 7:15 A.M. until 8:45 A.M. Joy, a real joy.

"So today we will be quickly going over cell structure to prepare for the quiz coming up tomorrow." Ms. Lindsey, the science teacher, cheered. The mention of the quiz, which I had admittedly forgotten about, was met with a harmony of groans and sighs from the class. I picked up my pencil and started tapping a beat on the table. My lab partner, Reuben Kim, who was sitting next to me at the table, glared in my direction. I mouthed sorry, and put my pencil down. I started bouncing my leg instead, which wasn't much better.

"I swear to God if you don't quit doing that, I will shove that pencil down your throat and watch you choke. Can't shake your leg if you're dead." Reuben threatened in a whisper. My eyes widened. I knew he was kidding but I couldn't help but play along.

"Your short arms couldn't reach my pencil if you wanted to." I mock. I was a good four inches taller than Reuben and I made it my job to remind him of that.

"Don't underestimate me, Slender man.'' he responds. Slender man was his nickname for me ever since I made fun of him for being shorter than me.

"Excuse me, Reuben and Fleur, do you have something you'd like to share with the class? I mean, we're all ears so be our guest, share what you want." Ms. Lindsey comments, staring in my direction.

"Uh, no miss," Reuben explains, "we have nothing to share."

"Alright then, quit talking please. Now, to begin with our review..." Ms. Lindsey continues. I hear the girls behind us snicker. The girls. I hated, no, loathed them. The Paynes twins, Ayasha and Kimberly, and their random addition, Amber Critos. The bullies of Corview High. I, being a freshman, had obviously learned that the hard way. I remember it like it was yesterday. Oh wait, it was yesterday. It was in the locker rooms after gym, which is the second worst thing to have in the morning if you ask me, and while I was changing out of my uniform, they stole my shirt and threw it in the hallway, in front of all of the football players who were at practice the entirety of the morning and had just came in to shower in their changing rooms. And shamefully, I had to walk out there, in my bra, in front of all of them, and grab my shirt. I tried to forget it, only, it's not that easy. Especially when the entire football team saw you. I got to school this morning and someone, a football player I saw, pointed at me and whispered "Flasher". Like, really dude? You couldn't come up with anything better than that or you know, forget about it entirely?! Like, I didn't even purposely flash them! God, sometimes I hate people but, I mean, at least they didn't steal my pants, right? Then I would've been called "underwear girl" or "mooner" or something, and that was ten times worse than Flasher.
