"Okay, be honest... You guys understand any of this?" Steve says as we all read the article Nancy had brought us from the library. It's about Victor Creel and his saying of what really happened to his family. He believed his house was haunted by this demon and that's what killed his family. But those killings were way too similar to the ones of Chrissy and Fred. It can't be a coincidence.

"No" Lucas says.

"Pretty straightforward" Dustin shrugs.

"Oh, straightforward, really?" Steve argues. 

"Steve, it's really not that confusing" I say to my brother who's reading the paper again.

"Yeah, so far, everyone Vecna cursed has died, except for this old Victor Creel dude Nancy found. He's the only known survivor. If anyone knows how to beat this curse, it's him" Dustin continues.

"Yeah but that's assuming he was cursed, which we don't even know Henderson" Steve replies, "How can Vecna have existed in the '50s? It doesn't make any sense"

"As far as we know Eleven didn't create the Upside Down. She opened a gate to it. The Upside Down as probably existed for thousands of years. Millions" 

"I wouldn't be surprised if it predated the dinosaurs" I shrug.

"Dinosaurs- What are we-" Steve speaks but Lucas cuts him off.

"Okay, but if a gate didn'st exists in the '50s, how did Vecna get through?"

"And how's he getting through now?" Steve adds.

"And why now?"

"And why then? Just pops out in the '50s, kills one family and he's like "I'm good" and poof he just disapears. Just gone?" Steve asks to no one in particular. 

"Steve can you stop asking questions no one knows the answers to?" my brows raise. 

"No but I'm just saying, he pops up again 30 years later and starts killing random teens? I don't buy it" he shakes his head, "Straightforward my ass. You know what Henderson, a little humilty maybe now and then, it wouldn't hurt you" 

Dustin looks down, "Sorry". He looks pass Steve and straight to Max who has her back turned to us, writing something.

"Any idea what she's writing?" he asks to Lucas who just shakes his head, "Did she sleep?" 

"I mean, would you?" 

The door of the basement bursts open and Nancy, with Robin, rushes down the stairs, "Okay, so... we have a plan" 

Nancy hands to Steve a document she had brought with her. Robin starts explaining their plan.

"Thanks to Nancy's minions, we are now rock-star psychology students at the University of Notre-Dame"

"I'm now Ruth" Nancy states.

"And I'm Rose" Robin adds.

"Ruth?" Steve doesn't seem convinced but Nancy offers him a smile.

"Nice GPA" Dustin remarks the 3.9 GPA in the file he's looking at, "Thanks" Nancy replies.

"So we called Pennhurst Asylum, told them we'd like to talk with Victor Creel for a thesis we're co-writting on paranoid schizophrenics- "

"To which they said no" Robin finishes Nancy's sentence.

"But, we landed a three o'clock with the director"

"Now all we have to do is charm him, and convince him to let us talk to Victor" Robin continues. 

"And maybe we can rid Max of this cursed" Nancy looks towards Max's direction. She's still writing.
