it had been a week and everywhere stiles went he sensed someone was watching him. whenever he looked in the direction his gut was telling him he'd catch a shadow and nothing else, it was exhausting.

he hadn't been able to steal much because of this unnerving feeling. stiles was getting sick of it, yeah sure it's irritating but it gets in the way of his work. that was pissing him off.

as stiles was stiles he came up with what he believed was a foolproof plan.

he jumped in his jeep, the feeling still ticking in the back of his mind. he shook his head aggressively and took off down the road. going out the city and onto desolate roads, not a single car crawled along them. the feeling lessened as he drove. so... what? the person following him just wanted to chase him out the city? this didn't sit right, stiles pulled the jeep behind a large billboard that had a large ' teen wolf' advertisement plastered on it. stiles decided he would watch it later.

he waited.

ten minutes passed when another car went speeding past him. it was 2am at the moment and considering not a single car had passes before this, stiles got suspicious. the car was sleek and black. tinted windows too. not your average family van.

stiles heart leapt to his throat when the car stopped abruptly, four people got out, it was too dark to see their faces and stiles sunk further into his seat. praying he blended in. once they were fully out the four began searching bushes near the jeep, getting further and further away from their car. stiles was frozen in his seat, cold fear crawled up his spine as they approached where he was hidden.

the group were almost next to his car when a switch flipped in his mind. turning the ignition on his car roared to life. stiles slammed his foot on the accelerator and sped over to their car. as quickly as possible he jumped out his and carved large slashes on their tires. he silently thanked his dad for making him always carry a knife and a bat. he only stabbed the left two since he didn't risk the time to get to the others.

stiles took a glance over his shoulder to see them running at him, they looked furious. stiles leapt into his jeep and shot off. looking in his rear view mirror he relaxed.

well, he was relaxed until three  figures emerged from the darkness on all fours, there were a few human characteristics but besides from that they looked like wide animals, when one got close enough stiles' heart stopped. it was the angry rich guy he stole off. except his eyes were glowing a dangerous red and sharp teeth jutted from out his mouth.

why was he following him? maybe he wanted his money back? stiles wondered, he frantically opened the window and threw out the two platinum cards along with the numbers and wallet in general. he was scared but not enough to give the watch or the money back, he would miss that wallet though, it was really nice.

stiles sped up, he floored the accelerator as he drove away from them and back to the city, they knew where he lived so he would have to move, and quickly. not to mention stiles was petrified after seeing those creatures, human or not they sent chills down his spine. stiles mind was whirring quickly as he drove, endless situations and escape plans echoed in his head.

stiles believed in ghosts but that was as far as he went -he liked the idea of his mother and father being near him, could imagine the scorn of his parents when he stole and there was an odd comfort there, the tsk he was sure his mother would utter as he stole yet another wallet. or the chuckle of his father when he evaded someone-but he didn't believe in vampires or warewolfs or witches, who did?

stiles shook his head and focused on the road ahead of him. he needed to get back and move as quickly as possible.

he frantically shoved any money and valuables he had into a backpack, a few pictures of his mother and father, spare clothes, his pillow, laptop and any of his devices. then he sprinted down the stairs and back into his jeep.

for the next three hours stiles drove around the city, deciding on one of his flats. as the sun rose and showered the city in golden light and little flecks danced over stiles eyes he finally pulled up outside a building, ivy covered the red brick walls, wrapping it up like a birthday present.

stiles took a deep breath and walked in. luckily as he was a criminal of sorts, he had many places to stay, one of them here in the middle of the city. it was perfect when he wanted to disappear, the crowds kept everyone hidden.

he opened the door to his other flat slowly, as if scared the monsters would be sitting there lounging on his couch.  stiles let out a breath he wasn't aware he was holding in.  and stepped into his room. he had  light blue walls with a double bed tucked into one side, a small bedside table and a dresser in the other corner. he kicked off his shoes and felt the soft rug on his feet. it was a little thing but it was nice. not bothering to change he dropped onto his bed with a satisfied sigh. he scrambled to find his pillow in his bag, feeling blindly till he found it.
stiles let out a proud cheer when he did. a small victory he fully deserved.

he twisted into a sitting position and pulled up his laptop, sadly with only initials and an angry face stiles hadn't been able to find angry rich guy so he opted for netflix instead.
a few hours went by of him binge watching random tv shows and the feeling of uneasiness came back, ten times stronger. he snapped his head round to the window but like always he only saw a shadow.

fuck. what was he supposed to do? at this point the nerves were getting to him more than the actual person.
stiles thought he would simply confront them. even if they have weird powers, stiles would mop the floor with them if he wanted to.
