Chapter 39: Sad Goodbyes

Sophie's POV.

I woke up and kuya and ate diana were still sleeping. I remember ngayon aalis sila kuya at ate I felt sad because I would definitely miss them. I went out of bed and went downstairs I dont want kuya to go. I would definitely miss him.

Or else babalik ulit ako sa dati kong ginagawa. They'll bring me back to the hospital I don't want to go there again. It's so sad sa loob kaya I'll only feel more worse when I'm in there.

Nothing to do or nowhere to go. It feels like I'm in jail. I wanted to come with kuya but I know he'll never take me. I never knew my Mom so kuya's the only person I have besides lola and lolo.

I went sa backyard ng bahay nila ate diana. It has playground naman so I sat at the swing.

Nag isip ako kung paano ko mapipilit si kuya lukas na dito nalang sya. I don't want kuya to leave me again kuya lukas is my hero hindi ko sya gusto mawala. I'll definitely be sad I know kuya will understand me naman kasi love ako ni kuya. I know he'll stay with me if I beg kuya.

Luke's POV.

7:30am I woke up and Sophie's not here. Si diana lang nandito and she's hugging me so I woke her up para makatayo na ako.

"Hey diana wake up. Your hands are on the way" nagising naman sya.

"Huh" at minulat nya ang mata nya.

I smiled at her as soon as she wake up. But nagulat sya and started shouting.

"Wth why are you here!!!"

"Remember sophie asked us to sleep here. Btw can you remove your hands na" namula naman ang mukha nya at tinanggal ang kamay nya.

"Where did sophie go ba?" Mahina nyang tanong.

Nahihiya ba to sakin? Bat ganyan sya magsalita haha cute.

"Di ko rin alam eh. Baka she went down" at bumaba na ako sa baba sumama narin si Diana.

We saw everyone sa living room. They're watching tv, I asked them if they saw my sister but hindi daw nila nakita.

Where did sophie went. Baka lumayas sya since alam nya na babalik na kami sa manila ngayon at babalik na sya sa hospital.

I went outside the gate to look for sophie pero wala sya. Hindi ko alam gagawin ko if something happens to my sister.

Then diana went to me.

"Hey luke I saw Sophie at the backyard sa may swing"

"Ah thanks I'll go to her"

"Ah samahan na kita" nahihiya nya paring sabi.

"Ah sige" tugon ko.

Pumunta na kami sa backyard and there I saw sophie. Sitting at the swing I went to tap her back and sat at the next swing next to her.

"Hey what are you doing out here this early?" Tanong ko.

Pero hindi nya ako pinapansin.

"Hey baby, kuya's talking to you don't ignore me naman"

Pero wala talaga ayaw nya ko kausapin.

"Why? did I do something wrong soph?"

"Don't go na kasi kuya. I'll be happy then"

"Huh? But I'm doing this for you para gumaling kana"

"Kuya please don't leave nalang. I'll miss you here"

"Soph please understand naman na this is for your recovery"

"Please kuya I want you here with me"

I felt bad for here but I can't just stop working how can I provide for her chemotherapy.
