Broken Smile

After their little encounter Jihyo found herself in a cafe with Tzuyu. the only problem was she couldn't look her in the eyes. But still, for the sake of starting the conversation, she looked up to see Tzuyu who was busy devouring her pasta.

"How are you Tzuyu?

"Let's not waste time with all this shit. Why  are we here?"

Hearing the cold voice from the taller one Jihyo unconsciously flinched, seeing this Tzuyu smirked and moved forward intimidating the leader even more.

"I wanted for treating you the way I did. I never thought I'd be the one to hurt you. I wanted to save you. I wanted to be the hero and save you but I didn't know I was the one hurting you even more. I am sorry Tzuyu. Unnie is so sorry Tzu" 

Hearing the old forgotten nickname Tzuyu slammed her fork down, luckily they were in a secluded area of the cafe so there were no people

"Do not fucking call me using that name again Park Jihyo"

Tzuyu spoke with gritted teeth, once again Jihyo whimpered in fear, yet she still cowardly looked in Tzuyu's eyes before speaking.

 "I've never seen that side of you and it hurts me to see you that way. I-I was supposed to protect you. That's what I promised you back when you joined us. Hell, I asked you to trust me. Jihyo unnie will always be by your side. But I wasn't. I'm really truly sorry, Chewy. Please believe that I'm here now. I'll always be here."

"You weren't here when I needed you the most. Why now?"

This time Tzuyu was vulnerable. She knows she shouldn't cry but here she is trying to control her tears. It was eerie. Unpleasant. The air in the cafe was not comforting. Now knowing all the things she's been too blind to see. 

She heard how vulnerable Tzuyu was

She saw how broken Tzuyu was

She felt how hurt Tzuyu was

And to think she was the reason for this broke her heart even more. All this time Tzuyu masked her pain with her newfound persona. 

"We can start over. I'll do anything, everything can be perfect. Just please don't leave me."

Feeling her tears almost slipping out Tzuyu raised her head towards the ceiling and breathed deeply willing her tears to stop.

"But you left me first Jihyo. How could you?"

Jihyo replied with a similar amount of hurt.

"I let my ego blind me, Instead of realizing my fault I blamed it all on you. I shouldn't have forced my ideas upon you but I did. It was a mistake and I know I can never fix this. I know I can't erase my past but from now on I will make sure I don't repeat my past mistakes. I would have made promises not to hurt you but I did something similar before so instead of thst from now on I will always protect you."

She expected Tzuyu to counter her with disgusting words but then she was met with the small yet broken smile. This time she would make sure to stay
