kira was in her sophomore year at forks high school when her world came crashing down only she didnt know it, her boyfriends childhood crush bella swan has moved back to forks to live with her dad. it was the weekend which ment jacob black had to drive his dad into town to watch the game with police chief charlie swan, and every weekend after jacob got his dad situated he would walk the three blocks to his girlfriends. only this weekend it never happened, no call nothing she sat in her living room with the door ready for him to walk in and snacks and a movie at the ready. after and hour and a half of waiting she closed the front door cleaned her living room and quietly walked back to her bed room and put her headphones in. it wasnt untill two hours later when her brother came in holding the house phone. " hello?" she asked " hey kira im so sorry" jacob said into the phone " oh hi jake. why didnt you come?" she asked trying to act like him not coming didnt hurt her " i took my dad to charlies and bella his daughter was there and we use to be friends so we hung out and caught up. i completely spaced, i didn't realize how late it got untill my dad said it was time to go." jacob explained " oh um i hope you had fun... hey-" she said untill he cut her off " yea it was fun. remember my dads old truck i was rebuilding? well turns out it was for bella and i had to show her how to double pump the clutch and stuff. shes going to your school i think you'd like her." he said not even caring he cut her off " um jake i gotta go its time for dinner but ill talk to you later okay?" she said " yea totally ill talk to you tomorrow bye" he said and hung up. she pulled the phone from away from her face and pressing the end button while wiping away the stray tears that began to fall, she didnt even notice her dad in the door way " you okay baby?" he asked coming in and sitting on her bed " no he blew me off for some other girl and he didnt even say sorry." she cried " boys suck baby, its going to be okay maybe it was just this one time and soon everything will go back to normal. now come down for dinner, i made your favorite." he said with a smile as he got up and walked out the room
