kira's alarm rang for her first day of school with a sigh she got up and started getting ready for the day. she went into the bathroom and did her morning routine before walking down stairs to grab coffee that her mom started before her shift. she turned the pot on to warm while she grabbed a mug , oat milk, flavor and sugar.she poured some sugar and caramel flavored syrup into her mug and once the coffee was warm enough she turned the warmer off and poured her coffee then oat milk. she put her stuff away grabbed a spoon and went back up the stairs to finish getting ready. she went into her closet and pulled out a pair of boots she soon spotted a skirt that matched then decided on a brown and white outfit. once she picked out her outfit accessories included she sat at her vanity and sipped her coffee and put a headband on so she could do her makeup.once kira finished her make up she grabbed her gel,brush and some ponytail holders. kira styled her hair into a slick back ponytail with two braids with ribbon tied into a bow, glancing at the clock kira quickly got dressed and grabbed her bag and mug and headed down stairs "hi daddy" kira said as she walked into the kitchen 

"hi sweetie i packed your lunch and i know you dont have time for breakfast so i put a granola bar and a juice by your lunch bag." her dad said as she washed dished 

"thank you see you later dad" kira asked as she grabbed them off the counter and headed to the door. kira grabbed a cream jacket of the hook and headed out to her car for school.

when kira got to school she looked around the parking lot and was hit with a wave of saddness but it didnt last for long because she soon saw a faided green truck with her boyfriend leaning on it. she grabbed her stuff and got out her car and walked over to him ignoring the gawking freshmen " good morning baby." embry whispered into the hug

"good morning." kira said with a smile inhaling his sent 

"you look so pretty. i know you were nervous about today so i thought id show up before school since mine starts later and surprise you."embry said to his girlfriend. before kira could respond they bell rang " ugh off to hell i go" kira said with a sad smile, she gave her boyfriend a kiss goodbye and walked into the school building. walking down the hall without her friends made kira sad, she had no one to talk to. she walked to her locker and put her books for her other classes in and grabbed the one she needed before her free period. she had enough credits that she only needed to be there half a day and she'd spend her other half in a clothing store in town where she got a job to pay for her fabric. she walked to her first period class and sat in her assigned seat according to the board, she was sat next  to  yasmine carter. kira sat in her seat waiting for the others got to class, one by one everyone was filing into class. the rest of the day went the same, going to class and ignoring everyone. she was so happy when the bell rang signaling that her school day was over, kira left school happy that she could leave. she had an hour between work and school it was a ten minute drive from the school to the store. she grabbed her stuff from her locker and left the school. she drove to the store and sat out front and ate her lunch.
