"Smokepaw stays with Brindlestone. He rarely speaks to anyone but her." Spiderspring replied.
"Okay." Goldeye said. "Well, continue with whatever you have to do around the territory. Have Leafmist come to me when she's back."
Spiderspring nodded, padding past Goldeye and heading to the Warriors' den. Goldeye wondered if every cat lied about having no memory. It's a mystery that won't get solved for... A while, he thought, padding over to the warriors' den to speak to the cats in there. He poked his head in, seeing Spiderspring meow to Lostflame and Amberthroat about hunting patrols.
Goldeye padded over to them. "Everything okay?"
Spiderspring looked at Goldeye, nodding. "We need to hunt."
"Right." Goldeye said. "Are you three going?" He asked.
"Yeah." Lostflame meowed.
Amberthroat nodded. "Indeed. It's best to get as much prey as we can out there."
Goldeye looked around the den, spotting Brindlestone and Smokepaw. "Brindlestone." Goldeye called her over.
The she-cat lifted her head, nudging for Smokepaw to wake up. The apprentice yawned, looking annoyed. He looked up at Brindlestone. She told him to come with him as she got up, padding over to Goldeye. Smokepaw followed, looking at his paws as they reached the group.
"They're going on a hunt patrol. Can you go with them?" Goldeye asked.
"Sure." She replied. "We'll have to be careful and stay alert for the dog, though." She meowed.
"Does Smokepaw know how to hunt?" The golden-furred tom questioned her.
Brindlestone looked at Smokepaw. "Do you?"
Smokepaw shook his head, keeping his eyes on the ground. Brindlestone looked at Goldeye. "I can teach him while we're out there." She meowed.
"Good idea." Goldeye said.
"Are we ready?" Spiderspring asked the group.
The cats nodded, but Smokepaw didn't react or look at any cat. Spiderspring padded out of the den. Lostflame and Amberthroat followed him. Brindlestone nudged Smokepaw to follow along before she left the den. Smokepaw scurried after the she-cat.
Goldeye looked over to see Owldusk and Rabbitrock sleeping. He let them be. Goldeye padded out of the den. He watched as the cats left the territory. "Apart from Spiderspring and Redtooth's... Encounter... Everything seems fine so far."
"I just hope there aren't more lost cats out there." Goldeye meowed to himself.

A while passed and Goldeye sat in his den again, thinking about the voice he heard last moonhigh. "What am I helping with?" Goldeye said. "Are the others hearing voices? Come to think of it..." Goldeye thought about when he first woke up in the forest. "What did that voice say again?"
"Goldeye!"
Goldeye whipped his head to the entrance of his den to see Leafmist and two new cats. Here we go again... Goldeye sighed.
The first cat was a thin and lanky she-cat with black fur and yellow eyes. The second was a small jet-black tom with bright yellow eyes. They almost looked like twins, but one was taller.
"Hello there!" The black she-cat said.
The small tom smiled. "Hi! Are you Goldeye?"
Goldeye nodded. "Yeah. And who are you two?"
"I'm Iceglow!" The black-furred she-cat meowed. "Leafmist told us that every cat here has no memory of anything besides our names like us!" She chuckled. "I also left Coal alone for a long while!"
"Which I told her she shouldn't do! Especially for a kit!" Leafmist meowed, eyeing Iceglow.
"I'm Coal!" The tom mewed. He looked like a kit. "Where'd your other eye go?" He tilted his head to the side.
Goldeye looked at Iceglow, nodding. "Yeah. None of us have memory of anything, really..." He then looked at Coal. "And I don't know where my other eye is."
"Where's Spiderspring at?" Leafmist asked.
"Hunting with Lostflame, Amberthroat, Brindlestone and Smokepaw." Goldeye replied. "What do you need him for?"
Leafmist shrugged, turning around and leaving. "Nothing!"
"Oh. Okay then..." Goldeye sighed, looking at Iceglow and Coal. "Well, I'll show you around the territory and you can meet the rest of the cats." He padded past the two. "Come with me!"
Iceglow and Coal happily followed Goldeye out of the den. The three noticed Silverlegs running around the territory. "That's Silverlegs." Goldeye meowed. "He's a friendly cat."
"Okay! Maybe I should go tackle him!" Iceglow meowed.
"I want to do that too!" Coal added on.
"How about-"
Iceglow and Coal ran after Silverlegs, chasing him. Goldeye stared at them as they chased the tom around. They couldn't catch up with him. He noticed the newcomers and ran faster.
"I can't believe I have to keep up with these cats." Goldeye meowed to himself, sighing.

Leafmist padded into her den, looking at her small pile of herbs. She thought of something that made her blush and giggle.
"What's so funny, Leafmist?" Mothkit got up from his nest, trotting over to her.
"Oh, nothing! Just laughing at how I misplaced these herbs..." She meowed.
"Oh! Okay!" Mothkit purred, nuzzling against her.
I love it here already! Leafmist thought.
