Before the moon rose, the group of cats spoke to each other before deciding which dens to stay in for the night. Brindlestone and Smokepaw slept next to each other and Leafmist slept with Mothkit, keeping him company. Goldeye took a den for himself. It's big enough for two cats to sleep in, but he'd prefer to be alone. Goldeye didn't get any sleep, because he couldn't sleep at all. He didn't feel tired. It confused him, but he accepted it.

"You're the only one who can help."

Goldeye's eyes widened as he looked around. "Who said that?" It was the middle of the night. He sighed and put his head on his paws, going back to not sleeping.

The night passed, and the sun rose. Goldeye was still awake. The golden-furred tom padded out of his den, and the warm sunlight hit his fur. He looked around, seeing Spiderspring with a massive night-black tom. How many more are there? Goldeye questioned as he headed over to Spiderspring and the newcomer.

He noticed the tom had lime-green eyes. He had a hooked tooth.

"This cat told me they caught our scents and headed here. Should we let them in?" Spiderspring asked, looking at Goldeye.

"What's your name?" Goldeye asked the tom.

"Redtooth." He replied. His meow sounded silky.

"Do you only remember your name?"

Redtooth nodded. "I have no memory of anything before I woke up in the forest."

"He's fine, Spiderspring. He can stay with us." Goldeye meowed.

Spiderspring nodded, padding away from them. Goldeye looked at Redtooth, smiling. "Welcome to wherever we are!" Goldeye meowed. "Us and many cats have no memory of the past. Only our names."

"How can we trust each other?" Redtooth questioned.

"That's a wonderful question." Goldeye started. "We can't. Well, it depends on the cat. You can't force everyone to trust you. It's weird, but we'll have to open up to every cat as we stay here. We only have each other." He meowed.

"Okay." Redtooth replied.

Spiderspring stared at Redtooth. "You better not do anything stupid, Redtooth."

"I don't plan on it. Stay off my tail." Redtooth replied.

Tension rose in the air as the toms stared at each other. Great. Now they don't like each other. Goldeye thought, looking from Spiderspring to Redtooth as they gave each other angry stares. Redtooth padded past them, heading into the territory.

"I'll keep an eye on Redtooth." Spiderspring meowed to Goldeye.

"Just... Don't cause trouble with him. Okay?" Goldeye asked the tom.

Spiderspring sighed. "Alright. The den you slept in is yours, correct?"

"I guess so... Why?"

"The warriors have their own den to sleep in, the one with Rabbitrock, and Leafmist slept in another den with Mothkit to watch over him. She told me she'd go out and look for herbs when sunrise comes." Spiderspring meowed.

"Is she doing that now?" Goldeye questioned.

Spiderspring nodded. "Yes. I spoke with her for a while before she left." The brown-furred tom looked away for a heartbeat out of embarrassment before looking at Goldeye again.

Why'd he look away for a second? Goldeye thought. He didn't give the reaction any mind, because he didn't know Spiderspring at all. So, he let it slide. "I see. Well... What about Smokepaw?"
