Samantha was patiently playing with her feet habang hinihintay si Ken sa pagkikitaan nila.

Ken confirmed that he'll go with her kaya here she was, patiently waiting for him for almost 20 minutes.

Not Ken's fault that he had been waiting here pero she just wanted some refreshements bago siya sumabak sa isang matinding pagsubok.

Sa totoo lang, she was nervous dahil she promised herself that she'll never do the move lalo pagdating sa lalaki. Pero on the other hand, Ken was different among all men she met. She doesn't want to let go of this chance.

"Sam! I'm sorry, kanina ka pa ba andito?" Ken was panting hard nang makarating siya sa tapat ni Sam.

Galing kasi ng school si Ken at may kailangan siyang ayusin. Medyo na-delay lang ng konti kaya with all his might, tinakbo niya mula school hanggang park. Thankfully, hindi naman iyon ganun kalayo.

"No, it's fine. Kakarating ko lang" she lied para lang hindi mag-alala ang binata sa kanya.

Hindi mapigilang matawa ni Sam nang makita niya si Ken.

"Sit beside me, Ken. Mukhang pagod na pagod ka sa kakatakbo. Saan ka ba galing?" She asked.

"Ahh sa school. May inayos lang akong kulang na requirements sa registrar pero all settled na naman"

Inabutan ni Sam ng panyo at maiinom si Ken saka niya ito narinig na nagsalita.

"Nga pala, ano nga pala yung gusto mong sabihin? Kinabahan ako kanina nung nabasa ko yung chat mo, mukhang mahalaga eh" Ken said as he wiped off his face.

Nanatili ang tingin ni Sam sa sahig kasabay nito ang pananatili niyang tahimik. She doesn't know how to start kahit na ilang beses na siyang nag-practice kanina kung sakaling darating ang oras na ito.

Napaka-hirap pala, no matter how.much you constructed and practice the right words that you should say, pag nasa harap ka na, hindi mo na alam ang sasabihin mo.

Ganito siguro yung pakiramdam ni Ken nung nag-confess siya last time.

"Ken.." 

"Hmm?" kabadong sagot ni Ken.

Bilang na bilang ang oras na muling nanatiling tahimik si Sam.

"Ken, gusto rin kita" Sam finally said.

Ken seemed to be in shock, he was still processing what just Sam said that time. He wanted to check kung nananaginip ba sita or imagination niya lang ang lahat, but no.

All of this was all true. Hindi siya pinaglalaruan ng utak niya.

"P-pwedeng paki-ulit, Sam?"

Napanguso lang si Sam at bahagyang natawa.

"I said I like you too, very much"

"Hindi ka nagbibiro diba?" Ken was still in shock nang itanong niya ito sa dalaga.

"No, Ken"

Sam reached for his hand saka nagpatuloy sa pagsasalita.

"I promised myself not to do the first moves lalo pag ganito but you're just too good to be true, Ken"

"You stayed by my side despite my flaws and the times when it feels like I was in my lowest. And I wanted to thank you for that. For choosing me even if I felt like there's a lot of reasons to leave me"

Ken was feeling the overflowing happiness within him. He never thought that knowing all of this feels this surreal.

"Nalaman ko rin kay Stell na ikaw yung naglalagay ng sulat sa locker ko dati. Pati yung mga nililibre niya sakin, sayo pala galing yun lahat. I just wanted to let you know na I appreciated all of it. Lalo na ikaw"

"Hindi ko maipapangako sayo yung perfect relationship but still I hope you'll keep and take care of me despite everything. I'll do the same to you kase deserve mo, Ken. You deserved to be kept"

"Sam.."

Sam felt her eyes got teary kaya naman hinila niya lang si Ken para sa isang mahigpit at komportableng yakap.

"Sam, mahal kita"

"Thank you, Ken. You'll wait for me until I could say it back right?"

"Always, Sam. I'll always wait for you"

Sam and Ken was willing to risk it all. They had passed a lot of circumstances within their relationship and they still both wished that they'll pass the other obstacles coming thru their life, but this time they have each other.
