Vixen was announcing that He was gonna be taking over Princess Peach's place while she was on vacation. He was gonna have some changes come around but for now, He was gonna get settled down. You mean while went to check on Mario was still pissed off

Y/N: "Yo Mario, You good, man?"

Mario: "No! That stupid Vixen sent Peach on Vacation and now he's Prince of the Kingdom! I hate that guy!"

Y/N: "Why? It's not like he's doing anything wrong and he seems pretty cool, What's there to hate about him?"

Mario: "He kept being a show-off with Peach and acting like he was such Hot stuff! Stupid Squidward..."

Y/N: "Come on Mario, I promise he isn't all that bad. Maybe if you get to know him better then maybe you'll like him. You DID make friends with Meggy when she was still an Inkling, Too. I'm sure you could do the same with Vixen"

Mario: "Whatever. I'm going to go eat my spaghetti"

You then leave Mario to go and do what he wanted and went down into the Dungeon. You were going to try and once again to try and get Natalie and her squad to talk, but when you got down there, They seemed to have escaped

Y/N:

Vixen then goes down into the Dungeon when he was nearby and heard you panicking

Vixen: "What's going on, Y/N?"

Y/N: "THOSE INKLINGS YOU BROUGHT BACK HERE, ESCAPED AND I THINK THE GUARDIAN POD IS GONE, TOO!"

Vixen: "What? How could they have escaped? I thought this dungeon was full proof!"

Y/N: "This is bad! We Need that Guardian Pod since I still think it holds the question to all my problems!"

Vixen: "Okay, Let's not panic. They probably couldn't have gotten far. They probably must've gone back to Inkopolis with the Pod. Alright, How about I send You, Mario, and Meggy to go back there and investigate. I'll have everyone else go around the Kingdom to try and find them"

Y/N: "Okay, I'll go get Mario and call up Meggy"

You go back upstairs to grab Mario and gave Meggy a Call saying that Team Killer Ink escaped and now Vixen wants them to go search in Inkopolis for them. Meggy was unsure about returning there after what had happened to her there but reluctantly agreed to go with them. By the time that she showed up, She brought her Splattershot Gun and followed you and Mario into Inkopolis

Y/N: "Okay Meggy, I know it has been a while since you've been back here but Besides Mario, You probably know this place better than anyone, Do you have any ideas where they may have gone?"

Meggy: "Hmmm, I don't know. I hardly know any of them that much besides the Leader being a Racist to Humans. They could be anyone"

Y/N: "Alright, How about we try to split up and ask some of these people if they recognize any of them...oh wait, I can't speak their language. Okay, You and Red go around and ask them, I'm gonna go see if Callie and/or Marie might be able to help"

Meggy and Mario work together as they go around the Plaza and ask various Inklings if they know Natalie or Team Killer Ink but most of them didn't. You went off to try and find Callie or Marie but they didn't seem to be anywhere. You soon stumbled upon another Inkling who seemed to have been fully ready for Action
