The Logical Song pt2

Start from the beginning

"Kinda."

"Yeah, had the same once."she sympathized.

"Rough huh?"

"Yeah.. I don't miss it"she stated truthfully making Yoongi chuckle.

He pressed play as she put the headphones back on. It was another victory for Yoongi as Dawn spent five minutes explaining how amazing the song was and how he really should publish them and do concerts around the world. They spent the rest of the evening talking music and listening to some songs, including the logical song, which made Dawn smile happily.

At some point they started talking about their families and Dawn told him all about her big sister and brother who were both twins and were sort of taking the place of her passed away parents. Her eyes sparkled as she spoke of how amazing they were and how they took good care of her.

Yoongi listened, watching her talk about her family, her hobbies, everything. He took the time to really appreciate her delicate features, her hair falling mid shoulder with a red streak on the left hand side and the intensity of her sea blue eyes. Inspiration flowed in his mind, the melody he'd been working on, playing in his head.

When they checked the time it was already two in the morning so they decided to head home. Yoongi accompanied her in the train, making sure she got to the right stop safely.

As he laid down in his bed with Plushy at his feet and closed his eyes, all he could think of was her voice, her face, her eyes.

They haunted him, invading his dreams, his mind and his heart. It came to the point where that was all he thought about. He couldn't wait to see her every morning in the train as well as every evening after work.

Too shy to make a move he'd tried to pluck up the courage and ask her out like Hoseok kept urging him to do, way too excited for his friend, saying he'd find the perfect girl for him.

But the words were stuck in his throat and he feared rejection. He liked Dawn. He'd known from the moment she'd appeared on his doorstep with her eyes widened in surprise, holding all the boxes in her arms and babbling endlessly about being a creep and being sorry for it.

His heart had been hammering in his chest for a long moment before he'd found it in him to invite her in. He'd never been good with social skills and had had a very bad experience with a relationship before. He'd sworn he wouldn't date again before a long time and had held onto that promise despite Hoseok's efforts to set him him up with someone.

So he'd put the whole 'asking her out' project on back burner for now, afraid it would turn out to be a disaster. They kept meeting every day, and Dawn would sometimes visit the studio, assisting him as he worked on his songs. She was also working on a big project for an art competition and gave it her all, hoping to win and get the prize: her own big exhibition.

"Are you kidding me man??"Hoseok exclaimed from the other end.

"You still haven't asked her out?? After everything? I mean dude, you see her every single freaking day, you're head over heels for her, you wrote a song about her which you've never done before and you can't stop thinking and talking about her. Sounds like a pretty good reason to do it, don't you think? And as your wingman I must make sure you do."

"I never asked you to be my wingman plus I don't n-"

"Yeah you do need me. Don't you dare say otherwise. You know love is all about timing right?"

Yoongi choked on his saliva, opening wide eyes.

"What the hell are you blabbering about love for?? Who said anything about love?! I like her yes but I'm not in love with Dawn!"
