Dawn was a peculiar sort of girl. Her friends knew it, her family knew it. Even SHE knew it. But she was never bothered when people told her so.
In fact her mother used to tell her that people who were a bit peculiar and different made the world a better place. She said that if people were all the same the world would be very dull. A flock of pigeons just following one another's actions.
So she thrived in that state of mind, just doing her own thing and ignoring other people's judgements. She liked old songs, loved to dance in the rain, found comfort in drawing and liked to think the world was a beautiful place filled with interesting people all different one from the other.
Maybe that state of mind was the reason she got disappointed a few times and got her heart broken twice. But it never discouraged her as she kept going with positivity, expecting better next time.
Of course that didn't mean she only saw the world pink with fluffy unicorns galloping on rainbows.
She'd had her fair share of difficulties with her mom's death when she was five, the numerous house movings because of her father's job, having to change school every time, make new friends... She'd also gone through a painful breakup three years ago and had found out her second boyfriend cheated on her with one of her friends just the year before the present one.
To sum up, her naturally strong and positive nature forced her back on her feet every time, throwing her back on the road of life with new experiences and goals.
As an artist she was naturally very fantasist, being a bit all over the place, wearing strange but fashionable outfits, and seeing the world with a different perspective from her friends and family.
This was her fourth year of study in an art school, at 24 years old. She had some friends but appreciated the calm and some alone time. She was kind of a lone wolf and seen as peculiar, most people let her be.
Her final exams were just around the corner and she was participating in a competition, the winner getting their own exhibition hall. The dream. She worked hard for it and had had a moment of artist block, with no inspiration.
That was until she met Yoongi. The stranger from the train, always clad in all black outfits, sometimes wearing a dark beanie on his pale blonde hair covering his forehead and almost touching his eyes. Eyes which fascinated her from the moment she saw them. Then she got the idea and captured them, drawing a portrait of this perfect stranger.
And now, she couldn't wait to see him every morning, quickly getting up and running to the station as to not miss THE train.
Yoongi fascinated her and brought her a kind of comfort she'd never felt before. Being near him brought her peace and she liked the way his gaze set on her, almost careful and yet piercing through her as though reading her to the soul.
