The Logical Song pt2

Start from the beginning

Then he pressed play and sat down next to her, fingers tapping a random rhythm expressing his nervousness.

The corner of my memory
A brown piano settled on one side
In the corner of my childhood house
A brown piano settled on one side
I remember that moment
Way taller than my height
The brown piano that guided me

His voice filled her ears and she closed her eyes, intently listening. She found it both relaxing and poignant, following the meaning of the lyrics talking about what really sounded like someone's first love.

The way he sang with those words meant for a piano, which apparently held an important place in his heart... Those words were now engraved in her mind and she apprehended the passion in his voice. Somehow she found herself wishing someday to be as wanted and loved as that precious instrument. Who would have thought she'd be jealous of a piano? Ridiculous, right?

Listening to the song got her a peek at Yoongi's soul. The purity of it struck her and made her want to see more, understand even better, the depth of it, every corner, everu trait. She found herself attracted to it, attracted to that stranger friend with the striking eyes and the gorgeous voice.

She opened her eyes, setting them on Yoongi's face. She gazed at him until the end of the song, tracing every features turned towards the wall in front of them, unaware of the soft gaze on him.

They'd known each other for a few weeks now, and the small crush she'd developed with him had somehow grown into a more defined attraction, something deeper that she refused to acknowledge.

She couldn't like Yoongi, the mysterious young man from the train, whose life and character felt like a book she wished to open and read every line of.

She just couldn't, it was too early to tell. However she couldn't deny the strong attraction she had towards him.

Sucks that a piano had more chance in reciprocity from his side than she did, and probably ever would.

The song ended and she let out a breath, taking off the headphones. Yoongi turned to her quite suddenly, eyes scanning her expression as if to read in advance what she might think and say.

"Erm.. so.."he muttered scratching his ear nervously. "What do you think?"

"Honestly?"

"Yeah, honestly "he said with a slight wince, bracing himself for the criticism coming his way.

"I think you have no idea how talented you are."

"..."

"That song was one of the most beautiful thing I've ever heard and your voice... just wow..."she breathed, locking eyes with his which betrayed the surprise etched on his face.

"Wait seriously?"

"Yeah, totally seriously. 100%. I could listen to this all day. I mean the way you describe everything, the lyrics, the passion in your voice is so striking I was so into it the whole time! Do you have another one?"

Yoongi's heart swelled at her compliments and the way she spoke of his music. This is what he wanted. To touch people. Of course as many as possible but most importantly the ones he cared about.

Dawn being recently one of them he couldn't help but feel all warm inside at the way she so rightfully captured the message behind the song.

And she asked for more! A smile made its way to his lips as he stared at her for a few more seconds.

"All right, I have another one called Seesaw. It's about imbalanced relationships."

Dawn winced at that. "Bad experience?"
