"Oh? Sabay kayo?" Faith asked. She looked at Leigh, confusion is evident on her face.

I looked at my wrist watch. "It's already 7:30, ah?"

"Ha? Bakit?"

"May bisita yata?" nagtatakang saad ni Yohan.

"Ewan." Ashleigh shrugged her shoulders.

"Gagi, mga college students 'yan! Mukhang may pinapasa rin." sabat ni Faith. "Balita ko nagsubstitute 'yan last week, kaya nandiyan 'yang mga 'yan. Plano yatang lumipat."

"Ha?

"Dito malamang! Sa kabilang campus, don sa college! Saan naman siya lilipat kung sakali?"

He shrugged his broad shoulders. "Ewan."

Napailing na lang kami sa katangahan niya.

"Can we go to the lib na muna kung ganon?" I asked. "I need to borrow a book."

"K."

Having them as my friends is such a blessing, if people only knew I never had any bad intentions from being friends with them. At first, I thought they were just the same. Befriending me because of pity. I'd definitely hate that. I hate being friends with someone because they find me pitiful.

Well, maybe I am. Except for the people who befriended me when I was still in junior high school. That was the biggest mistake I've ever done in my teenage years. Mabuti na lang at hindi nila pinakalat, I'm still thankful for that. Pero pinagtawanan nila ang problema ko without realizing it's a serious matter.

They tried being friends with me again but they stopped when they realized they're too late. I was friends with Ashleigh when they tried to hit me up.

But they never apologized.

I sighed as I walked towards the library. Maraming estudyante ang natambay dahil mukhang vacant nila at iyong iba ay walang klase.

My friends are waiting for me outside dahil ayaw daw nila ang nakakabinging katahimikan. I chuckled and shook my head.

But she asked me to log my name at the logbook if ever na may nawawalang libro ay alam kung sino ang huling humiram nito.

"Wala yatang pasok yung mga senior high." a grade 8 student said.

I looked at them, she's with someone, probably her friend.

"Totoo ba?" her friend nodded.

"Sana all."

"I'm sorry." I coldly apologized without looking to the person I bumped to and tightened my grip on the strap of my bag. I walked towards the door. Not minding people's stare.
