The Unexpected (The Re-Write)

Chapter Twelve

"How do you know about secret passages?" Daphne asks looking at Allene in wonder.

"I like exploring, I also like talking to the portraits, and if you are nice enough they will tell you secrets like the fastest way to the potions classroom from the seventh floor is threw the meadow painting with the knight on the horse." Allene explains pointing to the painting behind them, "There is a passageway to every classroom even the ones that are not used. There are six ways on and off Hogwarts grounds."

"Wow, that's awesome." Daphne gasps looking down at the stairs "Look, Renata."

Allene puts a finger to her lips standing up from her spot smiling at Daphne. Allene looked down waiting for Renata and her friend to get closer before she jumped. Within seconds Renata turned her back looking behind her and Allene took it as her cue to jump just in time for Renata to turn around being nose to nose with Allene. Renata screamed so loud making her friend jump turning around to look at Allene just as she went shooting back to the beam.

Allene sat back down watching Renata catch her breath as her friend laughed. Daphne was laughing too she was hysterical "That was awesome. I didn't know she could scream that loud." Daphne had been laughing so hard she fell back off the beam, falling headfirst, scaring both Renata and her friend as they jump forward to catch her, only for Daphne to be shot back up.

"Be careful," Allene laughed looking down at where Renata and her friend are looking up at the ceiling. As peeves comes flying over to them.

"Oh poor Retty, you have been scared three times as has your friend, you are out." Peeves laugh's flying off yelling about how we have three points and Renata and her friend were out. Allene and Daphne then started taking turns scaring everyone who came up the stairs or around the corner. Which funny enough included Percy Weasley and filch. Peeves was having the time of his life or should I say Afterlife. Narrating everything that was happening across the whole school. Allene and Daphne had gotten at least ten teams out when peeves came around the corner yelling to anybody on the seventh floor that its time to move to the dungeons.

Allene smiled at Daphne standing up "Follow me very quietly we need to get to the panting fast." Allene hopped from beam to beam as fast as she could getting to the door and opening it letting Daphne go down first.

"I hear somebody, coming closer." Daphne whispered putting her ear to the door "It's Draco,"

Allene nods moving to get in front of Daphne opening to portrait door and peeking out to see Draco talking to Blaze about the portrait. Allene waved to Daphne to follow her very quietly. Allene smiled to Daphne who was now behind Blaze, "You pet the horse." Allene spoke clearly making both boys scream turning around to face the girls.

"Where did you guys come from?" Blaze asked holding his chest making Daphne point up at the ceiling.

"I knew it," Draco stomped "I was going to drag blaze up here but I thought it would take too long plus I forgot how to open the door."

"Yes well, that would make a lot of sense as to why you are using the portrait that takes you to Professor McGonagall's classroom." Allene smiled nodding to the painting "Potions secret passageway is that one over there with the pretty flowers just feel to rose it will open right up." Draco smiled grabbing blaze's arm and pulling him to the painting.

"Thank you, Allene." Draco waves feeling the painting as it opens him and Blaze hope in and the painting closes behind them.

"Young lady that painting leads to Professor McGonagle's classroom and this one leads to the potions classroom." The knight states looking at both the girls making Allene laugh "Oh you sneaky snake, tricking your friends. I hope you win the game."

"Thank you Sir now may I enter?" Allene laughs petting the horse "And thank you, sir. I hope to win too." The knight nods as the portrait opens. Allene nods to Daphne who hopes in first followed by Allene "Do not get out when we hit the painting wait." Allene laughs as they go down the slide.

"Okay," Daphne laughs before she hits the painting hitting her head "Owch, that hurt."

"Shh, are you okay?" Allene wipers helping Daphne sit up straight.

Daphne nods smiling at Allene as they listen quietly to the room. "There is nobody in here Ms. Potter." Professor Snape draws as the painting swings open letting the girls see the potion master.

Allene laughs looking at the professor "Has Draco made it down yet I may have sent him to Professor McGonagall's classroom." The potions Professor shakes his head as Allene jumps out of the painting followed by Daphne. "Who all is left?" Allene looks at the professor.

"You two and Draco and Blaze." The potion master draws out looking up from his book as there is a knock on the classroom door making Allene and Daphne room to the door as it opens hiding them from the boys.

"Professor Snape," Draco starts looking around the room "Have you seen Allene and Daphne?"

"Yeah, they Lied and sent us to Professor McGonagall's classroom where Lawrence and his friend were hiding." Blaze laughed as the girl snuck up behind them "We scared each other and we got them out."

Allene hopped onto Draco's back making him jump in surprise and stumble forward, "well it would see Ms. Potter is on your back." Professor Snape smirked causing Blaze to turn and become nose to nose with Daphne making him scream. "It would also seem you two have lost. Congratulations girls this coming week you to will be excused from all homework or essays that might be assigned. If you choose to do them however it will be extra credit."

"What no far you know they both will do any homework there givin." Draco complains fixing Allene on his back.

"It might be true but you never know." The potion master draws looking at the kids "Ms. Potter I was Also instructed to let you know that headmaster Dumbledore wishes to talk to you tomorrow.

Allene smiles nodding at the potion master "Thank you, sir," Allene jumps off Draco's back "Have a good night, come on guys a party is waiting for us."

All the kids waved bye to the professor before walking out of the classroom with bright smiles on their faces.
