The Unexpected (The Re-Write)

Chapter Twelve

"Like Renata said there is a lot of us so there will be two to a team." Lawrence hoped into the conversation "That means there will be sixty teams playing in Hogwarts that's a lot of space so once you have been scared three times you are out. As the teams get out the space able to hide will also go down until finally, it will be just in the dungeons."

"Once you are out, come back here, where there will be food and drinks ready for you." Renata smiled nodding to an empty table, "Those who have never played Hide and scream, basically you hide, and when people come running to hide them selfs you can scare them making them lose a life. It's a child's game but it's so much fun to play at Hogwarts. Plus you get bonus points if you scare a professor and don't worry they know where playing."

"It's triple points if you scare filch." Lawrence laughed making everyone else laugh "If you are last out you win something but the people with the most scares get the good prize. But that will be announced at the end of the game."

"We have five minutes to hide, starting now," Renata yelled grabbing her friend and running off. Allene ran over to Daphne grabbing her hand and ran off out of the Slytherin common room.

"Allene where are you taking me?" Daphne laughs running up the stair behind Allene.

"Seventh floor," Allene laughs hopping the railing to the third-floor stairs, "You need to let loose. You are always facts like a Slytherin version of Hermione, no fun."

"Your all facts too," Daphne states right behind Allene.

"Yes, but I am also fun." Allene smiles at Daphne before running up the stairs.

"Why the seventh floor?" Daphne breaths out as they get to the fifth-floor stairs.

Allene laughed turning to look at Daphne "Because the seventh-floor ceiling is enchanted like the great hall. The real celling is beaming that you can sit on if you know how." Allene turns on her hills running up the last two stairs cases followed by a breathless Daphne.

"Who told you that?" Daphne asks looking at the ceiling in question.

"Fred and George, They showed me one day while you all were working on homework." Allene smiled grabbing Daphne's hand "Come here, See this portrait this nice girl she's fun to talk to but more importantly, Ray could you open up please." The portrait girl smiled swinging open her portrait.

"She accesses the ceiling," Allene drags Daphne up the stairs to open beaming "The enchantments act like a trampoline you jump down and the enchantment will shoot you back up. If you step onto the enchantment it will drop you down and let you set in an enchanted bubble until you hop giving it bounce letting it shoot you back up."

Daphne smiles at Allene understanding "You mean what was used to prevent someone getting hurt or hurting themself is the perfect weapon to scaring people."

Allene smiles at Daphne walking on the beams "See I knew you would understand. Now follow the best spot to camp out is right by the stairs." Allene waves Daphne along hopping from beam to beam.

"If a war ever broke out this would be one of the safest places for anybody," Daphne laughs following Allene.

"No it wouldn't not this one no," Allene shakes her head sitting on a beam looking down "The great hall yes but not this one because if the castle falls or if the roof is blown off the roof would fall on the beams crushing us."

"Oh, I didn't thank of it that way I guess." Daphne nods sitting next to Allene, "Well how long do you think it's going to take for someone to come up to the seventh floor."

"Well, I don't know it depends." Allene says looking at the stairs "Draco knows about this place so he might bring Blaize here, or maybe one of the older students will come up this way to lose the sent of others. There are a lot of secret passages on the seventh floor leading to different places."
