"So uh, how do you and- and Mystic know each other?" he broke the silence
"Mystic?" the blonde questioned
"Since i don't know her name and it's too long to call her 'Mystery girl'" he blushes
Elle laughed "Smart." she commented "We've known each other since we were kids. We moved here together"
Kai furrowed his brows "I thought she grew up here"
"Nah, we grew up in LA"
"Why'd you leave LA?" Kai asked and then flushed "Sorry i shouldn't have asked"
Elle laughed "It's cool. We just needed an escape" Kai nods understandingly
The sound of heels clicking stopped their conversation, they both looked to where Mystic entered. Kai stared at her in awe
He cleared his throat "You-you look beautiful" she giggles blushing
"Thanks you looks dashing" Kai kissed her cheek and the two said bye to Elle and headed out
The car drive was long and Mystic couldn't wait to find out where Kai was taking her.
"So where are we going?" she asks
"Nope, you don't tell me your name you don't get to find out where we going" he teases flashing her a smile making her laugh "You have a beautiful laugh" she flushed and looked down at her lap
"Thanks" she mumbled in a whisper
Kai pulled the car to a stop and got out opening the door for his date. She accepted his hand and let him help her out.
"A fancy restaurant?" she questions "Who would have thought" she teases
Kai rolls his eyes "Come, we already late" he offers his hand and leads her inside
He walks to the lady behind the desk and flashed her a smile
"Reservation?" she asks making him nod
"It's under Kai" the lady nodded and checked her system and then leading the to their table
The two sat, Kai pulling the chair out for her
"Such a gentleman" she smiles
"I do try" he joke
The waitress came with their menus and gave them a few minutes to decide.
"What you getting?" She asks making Kai look up from his menu to her
"Probably the Chicken Alfredo" he answered "You?"
"Stake" she answers nodding to herself
The waitress came and too their order leaving take to talk
"So how old are you?" she asks
"Eighteen. You?"
"Nineteen" she answers smiling "So I'm older"
"And yet i'm wiser" he teases
She rolled her eyes "That's a lie! I remember being the one to talk you down from jumping off a cliff"
Kai scoffs playfully "If i remember correctly you didn't think it would work"
She nods "That might be true but i'm still wiser" she grins "Respect your elders Kai"
Kai laughs shaking his head "Sorry Ma'am"
"I forgive you"
The dinner went on with the two playful banter and getting to know each other.
At the end of dinner Kai drove her home and walked her to her front door
"It was fun" she comments
"It was" Kai agrees "We should do it again"
She smiled "Are you asking me out on a second date?"
"Yes, but only if you want" he panics
She laughs "I would love to" she kissed his cheek and opens her front door
"Wait, you promised i'd get your name" she turns around and smiles at him
"Selena. Goodnight Kai"
"Goodnight Selena" her name rolled of his tongue with ease
