25. a mythical thing

The sound of beeping was the first thing Kai noticed when he started to wake up. His eyes heavy burned as the bright light shined in his eyes.
He groaned getting Rosalies attention who quickly sprung up and smiled at him.

Kai opened his eyes and the first sight he sees is the beautiful blonde he loves. He gives her a weak smile

"Hey beautiful" Rosalie chuckles moving the strand of hair out of his eyes

"I thought i lost you" Rosalie says making Kai frown

"I'm sorry" he whispers so soft that if Rosalie didn't have super hearing she would have missed it

Rosalie shook her head "Don't be. Just don't do it again" she glares at him playfully

Kai chuckles but then groans in pain making Rosalie look at him with concern

"I'm fine, just hurts when i laugh" he says seeing the look in her eye
"So what's the verdict doc?" he asks teasingly

Rosalie rolls her eyes but a smile graces her face "You have two broken ribs, some bruising on your face" he frowns reaching out a hand to touch his face but immediately regrets it as the minute his warm fingers touched his face it sent a wave of pain in his body.
"And lastly sixteen stitches at the back of your head" he nods still frowning

Kai stared at his girlfriend, his eyes flickering from her eyes to her pink very kissable lips.
Kai leans forward Rosalie doing the same, just before their lips touch Kai looks into her eyes

"Can i kiss you?" he whispers. No words left Rosalie mouth as she nods.

Kai smiles big and kisses her gently in the lips. Their lips moved in sync and Kai kissed her ignoring the stinging pain that it brought. Kai didn't care how much pain he was in as long as he got to kiss the girl of his dreams.

Once air became a problem for Kai the two pulled away and rested their foreheads together. Rosalie closes her eyes and takes in a deep breath taking in his scent.

"I love you" she blurts

Kai blushes making Rosalie giggle "I love you too" he rejoins their lips.

Kai lets his hands bring the blonde closer to him but hiss pulling out of the kiss as a pain travels though his arm. He looks down and sees a bandage on his wrist. He frowns

"James" he says making Rosalie nod

"I- i forgot to mention that" she whispers clearly lying making him nod in understanding

"I know" he says closing his eyes "What happened?"

"When we got there you were just laying their and i...i.." her voice breaks so Kai takes her hands in his own and kisses the back of it.
Rosalie gulped and continued "You looked so... so broken, and when i got to your side and i saw what he did to you... Kai i can't lose you" she admits

"And you never have too" he says making Rosalie scoff

"Kai i'm a vampire. An immortal vampire, you're human." Kai frowns nodding

"I know." he says taking one hand away from their intertwined ones and placing it on her cheek making her lean into it.
"I love you" he says making her smile
"And i have to ask, what's the story?" he asks motioning to his body

"Ahh, the story is that you and Bella went to Phoenix and Carlisle, Edward and i came to convince you two to come back to Forks when Bella tripped and rolled down a flight of stairs and out a window" Kai hesitantly nodded "And you tried to catch her but it brought you down too"

Kai chuckles "Would you believe me if i say that that's happened before" Rosalie giggles pecking his lips

A throat is cleared making them pull away and look towards the door where his mother stood. Kai smiled at her.

"Mom" he cheered making both the women chuckle

"Kai,my baby" his mother says walking towards them and kissing his forehead
"I'll take it frown here Rosalie" she says

Rosalie nods her head with a smile "No problem Renee" Kai looks between the two confused "I'll see you later, Malachai"
Kai rolls his eyes even though both him and Rosalie knew he loved when she called him by his real name.

Once Rosalie leaves Renee pulls him into a bone crushing hug making the boy hiss and his mother pulls away

"I'm sorry, i'm sorry" she says tears in her eyes

"It's okay" he assures her pulling her into a more gentle hug.

"I'm sorry" she repeats "I'm so sorry my baby is hurt" she sobs

Kai chuckles and kisses his mother's head "I'm fine mom, i'm perfect"

Renee shook her head "If you were perfect you wouldn't have so many bruises or stitched"

"Mom, i promise i'm fine" he says again

"Promise?"

"i promise mom" he smiles at her "How's Bella?"

"She's okay, she hurt but okay." Renee says

"I told you i couldn't stop her from falling" he laughs flinching slightly

"If i'm remembering correctly it was a cliff" his mother teased smiling at him
"Okay, now tell me all about Rosalie"

Kai shakes his head "From what i noticed a few minutes ago, you and Rosalie already know each other"

Renee laughs "Yes, but i know Rosalie, not the girl my son loves" she sings making Kai blush

And so Kai tells his mother all about the love of his life.
