A/N Hi! Because tomorrow is mother's day I will be writing a special chapter dedicated to Avery's mum I just think it would be cute it won't affect the storyline it's not even a part of it but I just thought it would be good

Avery's POV

The car ride to the restaurant was very quiet, me and Walker sat in the back together both looking out our windows, my mum sat humming to the radio as usual. If I was being honest, I liked that Walker was here, I really did but on the other hand I couldn't stand this awkward tension in the car but I didn't know what to say.

My mum chose the restaurant for us to go to and she decided to pick South Causey Inn's restaurant. "An elegant restaurant, perfect for a celebratory dinner." She said behind as the reasons behind her choices.

After a few more minutes of awkward silence, and we arrived at the restaurant. Walker opened the door on his side and ran out to my side to open the door for me.

"Such a gentleman." I teased him. Walker quickly smiled at me and started blushing. He was adorable.

"Anything for you Avery." He quickly replied. Now I was blushing with him.

"Come on lovebirds." My mum teased, smiling at us. She knew what she was doing. And she knew what my reaction was going to be when we get home.

Me and Walker smiled at each other before catching up with my mum who was now walking through the restaurant doors.

"A table for 3 please." My mum said. She had put her teacher voice on again. I rolled my eyes causing Walker to lightly chuckle next to me. The waiter looked down at us and smiled.

"Right this way please." The waiter said. She led us to a table in the centre of the restaurant, giving us the perfect view of the area around us. She handed us our menus before walking away to serve other customers.

After a short while, we all ordered our meals and once again, the awkward tension came creeping back in

After a short while, we all ordered our meals and once again, the awkward tension came creeping back in.

"So umm Walker," my mum started. Walker quickly stopped looking around and started looking at my mum. "What inspired you to audition for the Adam Project?" She asked, taking a sip of her red wine.

"Well.." Walker started sitting up straight, I noticed him wiping his hands on his legs. He was nervous, he was nervous about meeting my mum, and talking to her, he was nervous about even coming to dinner. Wow. I must be a really important friend to him. "I've seen Deadpool countless amounts of times, and I've been to multiple movie auditions before and none of them worked out, but this one, this one felt different, I felt like I was meant to be there. It was a right place, right time moment I guess. And when I walked into that room and talked to Shawn Levy, I knew I was meant to audition. Ryan Reynolds and Mark Ruffalo being a major part in the cast was just a bonus for me. I've always wanted to be in a movie with at least one of them and standing in that room, reciting that script, I was chasing my dreams and nothing was going to stop me."

"Wow." me and my mum said in perfect sync. I never realised him to want that role as bad as I did, the character he auditioned for spoke to him, like Hayley spoke to me. We both knew we were destined to audition for those roles and we both knew what we wanted in life and we both knew that we wouldn't want to stop at anything to get those roles.

It was at that moment that me and Walker were more alike than I thought.

The waiter came back with our meals and we ate in silence until it was time to leave. I guess my mum had found out enough about Walker from that one question than asking him multiple random questions. In all honesty, I felt the same, that question had answered so many of my unanswered questions. But only one question remained. Did Walker feel about me as I did him?

After me and my mum dropped Walker off at home, we headed to our own home. I was really tired so I started walking up the stairs until my mum shouted me. "Avery can I have a word please? It will be quick I promise"

"Ughh yes fine I'm coming. But you better be quick I'm really tired." I said. I was really annoyed because I was already halfway up the stairs and I was really looking forward to getting into my warm, comfy bed. I turned around and started walking back down the stairs.

"So when were you panning on telling me that your falling in love with Walker?" My mum asked. Wow I wasn't expecting that.

"Love is a bit strong mum. I would just say that I have a crush on him and I think he's really cute. But don't worry about it. I know he doesn't like me back so I'm just going to admire him from afar." I said. I really wanted this conversation to be over. I've never been one to have a crush before so this whole thing was new to me, and crushes wasn't really something me and my mum have spoken about.

"Oh goodness." My mum said shaking her head. "They weren't joking when they said love was blind were they?" she said laughing. "Avery I can see it from just the way that that boy looks at you that he thinks you the only person in the world. Looking at you two at lunch, reminded me of how me and you dad fell in love-"

"Please mum I'm really tired and I have school tomorrow and I might be getting THE CALL tomorrow so please."

"I'm just saying, when you find a boy that looks at you that way, you have to keep him."

"Yes mum. I'm going to bed now. Goodnight I love you. Thank you for today.

"Goodnight sweetie."
