I was currently sleeping peacefully until Soteria and Ares decided to jump on his stomach to wake him up

"Cynda" Ares looked at Soteria "Vee" Soteria agreed as they both jumped on My stomach waking him up

"What heck guys," I said grabbing his stomach

"Well it's morning Tommy I made breakfast," Elm said placing pancakes on the table and leaving to the lab

I got up and grabbed my pancakes while Ares and Soteria we're what I guess what they were eating pokémon food making me question that they have their own food

"So you guys have your own food" I said making Ares and Soteria just nod while going back to eating

I just shrugged and went back to my pancakes eating WITHOUT the in syrup since I don't know where it is

When I finished my plate and then I just placed it in the sink then I went to the cabinets looking for some soap to wash my plate which there was a lot of so I got something that had soap in its name since I'm not familiar with cleaning brands here

I was my plate and got ready for the day and went to the lab

"Hello Professor Elm are you busy," I said greeting him and asking so I can help

"Oh Hello no I am not I'm mostly just watching the egg in case it hatches but I have some boardgames want to play some while listening to the tv" Elm said while pointing at a big black thing I guess that was a TV

"Sure Professor Ares and Soteria don't make a mess," I said making my Pokémon just look at me like kids saying 'we won't' which I decided to trust them

While Me and Elm were listening to whatever was on the TV my Pokemon were just playing tag It was very nice and calming while I was just listening to the TV until the news gave something that caught my interest

"And now it's that time of year again where you can now challenge the gym leaders and if you get all 8 gym badges you can try your hand at the elite 4 and champion," The announcer said giving a silhouette of 4 people and one person on a pedestal

I was honestly pretty hooked on doing it I look at Elm and saw that he was just smiling

"You want to do the Gym challenge Tommy," Elm said

"Yeah it looks cool and I think I have a shot at winning," I said making Elm laugh

"Well you don't need to register here but if we were in If I can recall the Galar region you would need a parent to sign up for you actually Tommy do you have any parents," Elm asked which made me go blank

'Do I tell him I mean Phil is my Dad but he never was there for me my Mom is dead and my brother they hate me I mean what about Fundy does my nephew hates me he did grow up faster due to his Fox genes so in a way I do have two family members my Mom and Nephew since they tried to be there Fundy did nothing wrong it was just his Fox genes and Mom loved me she was always there'

"I have a nephew who's ... in a different region I don't know where but my Mom is ... Dead," I said making Elm look sad and remorseful

"It's okay Tommy but let's get back on topic you can do the Gym Challenge if you promise me you can take care of yourself," Elm said which I nodded

"Okay but first I must teach you something," Elm said while leaving the lab I follow him and we went to the tall grass

"Okay Tommy this is how you catch a Pokemon there comes a time where you find a Pokemon and you want it so you can catch it here I'll show you," Elm said while walking around

Elm then turn to me with the PokeBall

"And that's how you do it," Elm said while putting the PokeBall in his pocket

"Wow thanks for teaching me professor," I said thanking him

"Oh and that's not all here," Elm said pulling out more PokeBalls

[Tommy Received 25 Pokeballs]

I put them in my PokeBall Pocket

"Thank you, Professor," I said while he just laughed

"It's okay Tommy now good luck on the Gym Challenge and don't worry about giving up a lot of kids give up against Whitney if I remember," Elm said while going back to his lab

I looked at my Pokemon with a smile

"So do any of you want to go back into your PokeBall," I asked my Pokemon and Soteria went back in while Ares stayed out

"Well guys let's go and become champions," I said with a confidence I forgot I had

I started to run through Route 29 without any encounters and ran past Cherrygrove City and saw all the trainers stop battling but I was some with their PokeBall out which made me confused until Ares grabbed my hair and pointed me to a sign

[It's a Trainer Rule that when two Trainers eyes meet a battle must begin]

So I guess that's why they have their PokeBalls out so I looked at Ares and then my PokeBall that had Soteria

"Ready Guys," I said to my Pokemon Soteria ball shake while Ares yelled out with energy meaning that they were ready

"Alrighty Then let's go"
