Phase 2️⃣: Saving my heart ~ KaiSoo

*Two nights before Chanyeol's departure ~
KyungSoo had visited JongIn's house to confront him. He wasn't sure why he made that ridiculous decision to do so, but he wanted to anyway.
KyungSoo has been observing JongIn for quite a while now, everything was  so strange to him, and minding his business was a given to which he knew but he still didn't want to ~ he wanted to just see JongIn but why? And his only explanation was, he wanted to help his best friend; to which he also knew, was a big lie.
KyungSoo for some time now has been thinking about JongIn and as far as it disgusts him, he couldn't help but melt whenever his thoughts directed him to JongIn.He had this unexplainable feeling whenever he thought of him.
KyungSoo had no valid reason to like JongIn but why does his heart beat vigorously whenever he sees him? Or even hears his name, or just anything related to that jerk? He didn't know the answers to his questions and he definitely  wanted to know for himself and the only way to find out was to confront JongIn with the excuse of helping out his friend which in both ways looked sincere and pathetic.

Nervous? Well, he was more than nervous, he wished for the earth to swallow him up once his decision to visit JongIn's house was set...
Before he got out of the house, he washed up like three times ~" who are you doing this for Soo? It's just a confrontation that's all, yeah, and I need to look neat and smell nice just like any ordinary person, yeah, deep breath KyungSoo, deep...", KyungSoo thought to himself while drying himself up with his towel...
He put on his best attire, and honestly at that point, KyungSoo had jumped to the conclusion that he indeed has a crush on JongIn because what the hell was he bothering himself doing all those ridiculous things for?
He felt bad, bad in a good way and in a good way, pathetic ~ reality hit him when he thought of how his friend, Baekhyun has been feeling about his lover Chanyeol...
"Hmm, Baek, you are truly something else, now I know and understand what you meant by being crazily in love with Chanyeol...because I think I'm falling for that dumb idiot of JongIn..", sighing heavily, KyungSoo said his thoughts out loud, lucky for him, he was all ears to himself in his room.
Before he went out, he checked himself out in the mirror one last time, encouraging himself while his nerves kept giving him shivers.

He arrived at the house of JongIn and was greeted by his mother. Lucky for him, JongIn wasn't home because he was asked to run errands since it was a Saturday. KyungSoo, feeling so much relief, introduced himself as a good friend of JongIn and waited while being attended to. JongIn's mother was so caring and her sincerity could be seen by the way she talked. " His mother is so sweet and caring but how come he's such an asshole when it comes to Baekhyun and myself?", KyungSoo's thought almost came out loud but he was fast enough to keep them to himself.
"I've never seen my Nini bear with anyone else except for Chanyeol and Sehunnie... Ah , that boy,he's finally making new friends aside from those two", JongIn's mother said to KyungSoo while smiling....
" Nini Bear? Sehunnie?",KyungSoo's question was obvious enough for JongIn's mother to answer...
"Ooh yes, haha, Nini bear is just his nickname, because he's such a baby and Sehunnie is his childhood friend alongside Chanyeollie, they've been friends since childhood but Sehunnie is in the states, his father came for him last two years and now Chanyeollie, my baby boy must be so sad", JongIn's mother answered KyungSoo who needed no further explanations from her.
" err, Mrs. Kim, if you could excuse me, may I wait for JongIn from his room?", KyungSoo feeling a little uncomfortable, asked...
"Oh, yes, yes, you can, you can wait for him, his room is upstairs, you can wait while I prepare something for you", JongIn's mother surprised, smiled and answered calmly to KyungSoo.

" Thank you,I'll be waiting for him upstairs then", KyungSoo bowed respectfully and made his way upstairs to JongIn's room. "What the hell are you doing KyungSoo?", he asked himself seriously, because this time , it was as if he was being controlled against his will.
Before he twisted the doorknob to JongIn's room, he had already made his decision to never make Baekhyun hear any of this...

KyungSoo's heart was pounding in his chest as he stood at the entrance of JongIn's house. He couldn't fully comprehend why he was doing this, why he was about to confront JongIn, but he couldn't deny the intense feelings that had been building up inside him. Observing JongIn from afar had become an obsession, and despite his best efforts to resist, KyungSoo couldn't help but be drawn to him.

There was no rational explanation for his attraction to JongIn, and KyungSoo was well aware that his supposed reason for the confrontation – helping his best friend Baekhyun – was just a flimsy excuse. He had to admit to himself that he was falling for JongIn, and it both thrilled and terrified him.

Determined to make a good impression, KyungSoo went through multiple outfit changes and washed up several times, trying to calm his nerves. The realization that he was going through all this trouble for a confrontation made him admit to his own feelings. "I have a crush on JongIn," he finally admitted out loud, feeling a mix of excitement and self-disgust.

Thinking of Baekhyun and the intensity of his feelings for Chanyeol, KyungSoo understood the depth of love Baekhyun had for his lover. He couldn't help but draw parallels to his own feelings for JongIn. As he headed out to JongIn's house, he checked himself in the mirror one last time, trying to boost his confidence.

When KyungSoo arrived at JongIn's house, he was greeted warmly by JongIn's mother. Fortunately, JongIn wasn't home as he had gone out to run errands. KyungSoo introduced himself as JongIn's friend and waited, feeling relieved that he didn't have to face JongIn immediately.

JongIn's mother was kind and caring, which only added to KyungSoo's confusion about JongIn's behavior towards him and Baekhyun. The mention of "Nini Bear" and "Sehunnie" intrigued KyungSoo, and he couldn't help but ask about them. JongIn's mother explained that Nini Bear was a nickname given to JongIn because of his adorable and childlike nature, and Sehunnie was his childhood friend who was now in the States. She also mentioned how JongIn had been distant from others, except for Chanyeol and Sehunnie.

As KyungSoo waited in JongIn's room, he wrestled with his inner turmoil. He knew he had to be cautious and keep his feelings hidden from Baekhyun, as the last thing he wanted was to cause any harm to his best friend. But the pull he felt towards JongIn was undeniable, and he couldn't escape the sense of being drawn to the other man, as if under some mysterious spell.

The door to JongIn's room loomed before him, and KyungSoo took a deep breath, trying to steady himself. "What the hell are you doing, KyungSoo?" he questioned himself again, knowing that he was stepping into dangerous territory. But something within him pushed him forward, as if fate itself was guiding him towards this confrontation, and he couldn't turn away now.

He was determined to face JongIn and uncover the truth behind his confusing emotions. However, he resolved to protect Baekhyun from any potential heartache, no matter what he discovered. As he twisted the doorknob and stepped into JongIn's room, KyungSoo braced himself for a conversation that could change everything.
