Third Person.

Four days passed by, and Jeff hadn't left his room, even when his mother asked for his presentence. Even when his father asked for his assistance with the porch because a board broke. Even when Jane Arkensaw came over and dropped off his homework, much to his disliking.

Jeff hadn't left for dinner, water or any other substance. He only sat in his pitch-black room in silence.

It was so hollow. By day two of Jeffery's depression episodes, Liu would have burst through the room, demanding he come out to some random party with his friends, or go down to the local candy store. Hell, sometimes he'll even make Jeffery go rollerblading with him, despite Liu's lack of knowledge of operating on a pair of skates.

But he never barged through that door. There was no repetitive knock, or reparative bang of Liu smashing his head on the door. There was no taunting shouts, or even insults to meet the brunettes ears.

Jeffery pouted further, his head digging deep into his arms. He was stationed at his desk, eventually giving up and doing some of his homework.

But his eyes burned and his brain was mush. He was tired, but couldn't sleep.

After a while of sitting at the desk, scribbling nonsense onto the algebra packet, his eyes only grew heavier and heavier. Until he slowly fell onto the desk with a silent thump, and he was out.

Only for it to be ruined minutes later by his mother as she opened his bedroom door, walking in with the most radiant of smiles.

"Honey, Honeyyy~," She cooed, as if she didn't slam the door and awake him already. He sat up in a bolt, his hair fluffed up and surrounding his eyes and nose like a tundra of bushes.

She snickered under her breath, before excusing her throat, entering. Margaret stood a couple feet away, her hip leaning against the tip of his desk to bring his drowsy eyes to her.

"Yes ma'am?" He uttered, his tired confusion gone and replaced with hidden annoyance.

"I got a call from this sweet girl, Jane Richardson it was? She said she was a friend of yours, she wants to go to this roller skating rink with you this evening! Now usually I don't think it's a good hobby for you, but with such a cute girl-- well I can't help but allow it this time."

Shit... He doesn't want to do that.

Sitting up fully, Jeffery turned to his homework as his hands scathed his hair back. He accepted quickly that it wasn't going to move, though, when it only bounced back in his eyes." I have a lot of homework to do, so I shouldn't go."

Margaret's face suddenly fell into a scowl, and the once warm eyes of hers turned sour. Jeff recognized the look, and he could feel the migraine already.

"Now listen here, Jeffery, because you know I won't repeat myself. I let this little attitude bullshit go on for so long because I know your missing Liu, but now it ends. Get your ass up, and get ready. No son of mine is going to embarrass me by staying inside all day. Up,"

Margaret's temper toward Jeffery was always thinning, but now with Liu, her favorite son gone, that string was obviously cut already.

He blinked, before nodding," Yes ma'am," he uttered, knowing better than to argue. If he did that, he'd swiftly get a smack on the back of the head or a pinch to the side.

Great... This is just what he wanted, a date with the annoying hobbler while he's sulking.

Despite his disdain, Jeffery was up and in the shower as quick as his mothers mood shifts. He took extra long, knowing he smelt like shit after not showering for so long, before he was settled in front of the bathroom mirror, glaring at his hair.
