Jeffery lunges up from his slumber, exhaling loudly. Wails were all he could hear all twilight. Whispers evaded his mind and devoured him whole in an evening blood bath. He imagined the body of himself being tortured in the moonlight by a foreign devil, whose eyes were saturated ivory and we're low like his gaze. He had deep onyx hair, with pale skin that reminded Jeffery of a porcelain doll, admittedly, he was shattered in the face, for he had trailed a blade through his cheeks, smudging it in the crimson trails flooding Jeffery's vanes.
Blood seeped into Jeffery's vision, and he blinked back the strong headache coming on. He finally lets out a small breath, feeling the cold sweat that coated his shirt and stuck to his bare chest. Jeffery rubs his weary eyes and examines a bubble clock he set up formerly, skimming the time. Three, far too early.
He doesn't worry anyway, standing as he begins yanking his shirt off, hoping to change before going downstairs for an early morning snack. Jeffery flutters his hair after realizing it was ruffled up, before abruptly hearing a rough racket from downstairs. Confused, he turns, a new shirt already in hand from the closet.
He opens his bedroom door and pushes the fabric over his head as he creeps down the stairs. Jeff eventually gets a view of the kitchen, detecting the lamp was on. He gets his shirt on entirely, pulling it down his abdomen as he steps into the room. His eyes were cold and tired watching the sight.
His mother and Liu both giggled a laugh, thinking they were nice and silent enough as they pulled out ingredients for something. He rolls his eyes and knocks on the counter, compelling the two to jump, Liu letting out a squeak.
"Oh my God, Jeffery, you frightened the hell out of me," His mother murmured loudly, and Liu took a deep breath." Sorry, did we wake you?" "No," Jeffery declares, strolling to them as he looks over the recipe catalog they had opened. It was one he recognized, one he'd used before.
"We were going to bake cookies because today is your guy's first day at work and school!" Jeffery nods, teasing his hair back." Jeffery baby, did you get any sleep?" His mother questions, in a pale faded tone that Jeffery finds a tad bitter. The subtle shake in her tone showed him that she didn't really want to ask.
"Yes, I woke up early. Could I take a shower?" He asks, keeping in mind the sweat that blanketed his body." Of course, we'll be making the cookies!" Liu smiles as Jeffery walks off and up the stairs again.
Jeffery grumbled, ignoring his headache as he slid his socks to the restroom. He looks to the shower and sighs.
He sees the curtain on the tub barrier instead of put up. His mother was supposed to do that, just like how she was supposed to take the soaps and lavatories out of the box in the corner and put them away. Still, he did it himself, before tugging his clothes off and flinging them to the ground.
After a moment of turning the water on to the perfect freezing temperature, Jeffery gets inside the shower walls, leaning against one so the cold water could pierce his chest, cooling it down. He lays his head back, closing his eyes. The headache from before left him, the chilled water calming his anxious feelings. He unrolls his bloodshot eyes again, feeling something else plaguing him. It transpired there the entire time, but now that his head was more clear, he felt it even more.
It burned at his throat, and flashed images in his head of his bloodstream, the warm thick blood slipping from his broken skin. He found the imagery normal, everyone had odd ideas he told himself. Jeffery grabs a soap bottle, mindlessly drizzling some into his palm. He suddenly feels a stinging feeling on his ankle, and looks down, lifting that same foot. An unexpected gash was dug into the same spot, blood seeping from the wound and down the drain. He stares in wonder, before shaking it off and returning to what he was doing.
