Actually, he wanted to do so right now. He was a little pissed off with how his life was going at this point.
Jeffery ignored how his hands started to turn red and stung from the extra weight, fixing them down in the living room as promptly as he could.
His father huffed for air furthermore, peeking through a very hefty box to discover the TV and other useless devices that the family depended on." Jeffery, come help me with this." He spoke, and Jeff delays a sigh of distaste, walking over to the man before bending down to raise a side of the box.
The two groaned as they lifted the heavy cardboard box inside, before nearly banging it down onto the floor." Jeez, what did you guys pack in this thing?" Their father whined as if he hadn't searched the box already.
Jeff just made his way to grab the last box, never bothering with their racket. His mother sighed, tying back her hair as she scooped around the kitchen." I'm sorry dear, I tried to pack the boxes better." She apologizes, before attempting to turn the stove on as Liu dug through the bag on the counter.
"Here it is, Mom!" He withdraws a box of black tea, and she smiles." Thank you, Liu," She takes it, and sets it by a full kettle, before returning to the stove and clicking her tongue in annoyance." Peter, darling, did you check the power?" He pops his head inside the room, his brows furrowing," Why?" Jeffery could hear them both fussing over the stove, as he sighs, opening a black duffle bag while Liu wandered into the front hall.
"Wowzers, look at the living room, it's so big!" He says in false amassment, turning so he looks at Jeffery." It's something." The teen just shrugs, exhausted, as he shoves black headphones over his dark brown hair, letting it ruffle up behind the plastic. It was connected to a smallish walkman, a scratched cover tape inside.
Before Liu could reply, their father calls for them, staggering out of the kitchen." Boys," Jeffery looks up, already starting up the machine." Yeah, Dad?" Liu asks, a small grin on his face." Start unpacking the shit, I gotta phone the landlord. Fucking... Told me he turned the power on already." He says, stomping off upstairs. Liu groans, already dreading the heavy duty.
Jeff snorts, standing swiftly before tugging open a box with the label,' Living Room' on the side in Sharpie. He yanks the box into the large blank room, avoiding the blonde that stood above him, just staring. He tunes out the commotion of everyone else as he turns up the volume, tugging out the items in the box to set them on the ground.
He wasn't too sure what they were going to do with this large antler wall hanging, or the large painting of Prince, but he assumed his mother would figure it out when she was finished.
After an hour of unpacking Jeffery eventually decides to go upstairs, Liu following." I haven't been up here yet, mom wanted help with the tea." He states, cheerfully stepping up the stairs behind his younger brother.
Jeff replies with a grunt, rolling up his sleeves as his headphones sat around his neck now that the tape had finished.
To Jeff, it sometimes seemed like Liu was younger. He was favored, and scarcely did any work when they were asked to.
The two look down the hall, already spotting their parent's room and the washroom, meaning the two other doors were meant for them.
"So, we already know you're getting the bigger room, lucky. You better get thrown out soon," Liu grins, and Jeffery lets out a dry chuckle, before sighing." Alright, door number one, think we'll find a dead body?" He jokes darkly, and Liu shoves him playfully, his smile widening.
"Don't say that!" He laughed, and Jeffery finally tugs the silver knob, opening the run-down white door to unearth a Decent-sized room.
"Looks good," Liu says with a smile, and the two walk in." Kinda dark. Hold on." Jeffery tugs the white sheet utilized as a curtain, illuminating the room only barely with the gloomy sky and white sun. It showed off the bright yellow wall, which was matched with a greenish closet." Hey, the rain has almost cleared, perhaps we could finish unpacking by tomorrow." Liu says, positive.
