I walk into the compound for the first time in over a year smiling at the feeling of finally being home "hey" Natasha says, I turn around seeing Natasha, Yelena, Peter and Wanda standing there smiling "it has been too long" I say while pulling them all into a tight hug "did you have to take this long?" Peter says still holding onto me "I wish I didn't love" I reply "did Mr Stark send you the file?" Wanda asks "yeah he did, so this Thanos guy is coming after who exactly?" I ask "Dr Strange and Vis" Wanda replies "who is Dr Strange? Is that a made up name?" I ask "apparently not, I introduced myself as spider man to him thinking it was" Peter says embarrassed and I let out a laugh "look who's back" Steve says walking up to me "hey Steve" I say with a small smile
He smiles down at me and my smile disappears "you are a jackass" I say pushing him backwards "what did you do?" Yelena asks "he said he would call me back" I say "10 months ago" I say still slapping him around "why didn't you call?" Peter asks "she did" Steve says sadly "jackass" I repeat, the sound of the quinjet landing catches our attention "who the hell is that?" Natasha asks, we share a look before running out towards the back of the compound. The door opens to reveal Bucky his hair now much longer and a beard on his face, my heart feels like it's about to beat out of my chest "what are you waiting for?" Venom asks, our eyes meet and we instantly run towards each other. We crash together and he instantly picks me up in his arms "did you have to get this beautiful?" Bucky whispers, his metal arm around my waist while his other hand holds the back of my neck, he sets me down and cups my face with his hand
His metal hand cooling me down as always, he looks into my eyes once again "hi doll" he whisper "hi winter soldier" I whisper "I forgot how beautiful you are" he says and I give him a small smile "i was wrong" I whisper "about what?" Bucky asks "Trying to find home somewhere else" I reply, he gives me a smile before pulling me into a long kiss. I can feel someone staring at us and I don't even have to look to know who it is "we will let you two catch up, Bucky settle in. Meeting will be first thing in the morning" Mr Stark says once we pull away from the kiss, Bucky and I walk in holding hands as if afraid of even attempting to let go. We go straight to my room "I haven't been here in too long" I say sitting on the bed next to him "why is that?" Bucky asks, I take a deep breath and tell him everything about the past two years not leaving anything out
"I know you heard that conversation in the quinjet, I hadn't realised how wrong Venom really was" I say "he was?" Bucky asks "you are what home feels like Bucky, I feel that way every time I look into your eyes. I like that you test me, I like that we aren't perfect and that you drive me absolutely insane in every single way humanly possible. I don't want perfect, I don't want an easy life. I want you that's is it" I admit, Bucky just smiles "and now you famous" Bucky says and we both laugh "just finished my world tour" I reply "can I see any of your performances?" Bucky asks, we lean back on the bed and I connect my phone to the TV before playing back some of my best performances during this tour "which song is about Steve?" He asks "just the one" I say playing it "and the rest?" Bucky asks "that's all you" I say "this is the song I sang to get the producers attention" I say playing the cover I did of 'thinking of you by Katy Perry'
"What made you sing that?" He asks "I kissed Loki when Sharon kissed Steve, and it made me realise that being with someone else felt wrong. Steve and I tried but didn't work out, I thought it was because I had no time but I was wrong" I say "it didn't work before he isn't you" I say, Bucky smiles before pulling me on top of him "you have no idea how happy I am to know that you still love me" Bucky adds "how could I ever stop?" I ask
Bucky and I finally get out of bed after losing our patience with Venom who wanted melted chocolate "show yourself" I say to Venom when we get to the kitchen, I put my hands on my hips and raise an eyebrow "I haven't seen Bucky in over two years, is this a way to behave?" I ask "no" Venom replies innocently "then?" I ask "I am hungry, I don't get to feed anymore" Venom replies "that's because we are singers now not agents" I say "you still look as amazing as you did back then" Bucky says leaning against the counter making me blush "I forgot how charming you are Buck" I say "delicious" Venom replies "you're drooling V" I laugh while shaking my head "go through the kitchen and eat your chocolate" I say, he takes over my body leaving only half of my face out while he begins to go through every single cabinet and eating every chocolate bar he can find "cool" Peter says walking in "oh hey Peter" I say smiling
Venom finally gives me my body back and I sit up on the counter "I just wanted to say that I became a huge fan" Peter practically fan girls making me laugh "and thank you for mentioning me on that interview, I mean they don't know that it's me me but thank you" Peter rambles "yeah well I gotta make sure that spideys good reputation proceeds" I say smiling "also I know that it was you who forwarded the videos to the producers, he said someone posted them but I know it was you" I say, Peter blushes "I heard you and venom talk this one time about how you love being up on stage. That it made you feel free, with Mr Starks contacts I managed to find that guy" Peter explains "thank you" I say still smiling "well kid you made my girl one of the most famous singers of this time" Bucky says pulling me closer "well it all started with the brownies video" Peter jokes "oh god I had forgotten about that" I say as we all laugh
"Venom stole the show" Bucky says and I nod "he loves being the centre of attention" I admit "I do I do" Venom says while showing himself "regardless we better all get some rest for tomorrows meeting" I say "I agree" Bucky replies, we all walk away from the kitchen with Peter heading to his room and Bucky and I heading to his to get some rest
It's been a VERY eventful day
