Chapter 18

"Hey Angel, wait up" Bucky says following me out of the meeting room, he grabs my arm and pulls me back "Hi" I say with a smile "How was the training?" Buck asks "It was good, yours?" I ask "Great" Bucky replies "i love the way you're so caring" Bucky whispers tucking a strand of hair behind my ear like he's always done, I look into his beautiful blue eyes with a smile still on my lips as he leans down to kiss me "Is there something wrong?" I ask "No i just, i got used to having you by my side at night" Bucky says "Are you asking me to stay over in your room tonight?" I ask and he shrugs

"Let's go get a drink first, after what I just found out I'm going to need it" i say "Good idea" He says, we go over to the party room and grab a bottle of whiskey which we drink directly from the bottle "You care a lot about Peter don't you?" Bucky asks "i think that he's just a kid that got pulled into a life that he didn't ask for and it's unfair to treat him like he's lesser than any of us, we all went through it and sadly most of us dealt with it alone. He doesn't have to" I say "I think it's amazing how much you care, your compassion considering everything that you have gone through remains almost intact" Bucky says "I wasn't always compassionate, I had to become the worse parts of myself when I was with Hydra and the worst thing is. I wasn't even brainwashed" I say

"You weren't?" Bucky asks and I shake my head "It was all I knew, until the screams of every innocent life I had taken scarred into my mind and I constantly heard their voices begging me to let them live. Begging Venom not to kill them" I say "And I always told him to" I say "That wasn't you" Bucky says and I shrug "Maybe it was" I reply, Bucky stares into my eyes and pulls me into a long kiss "You are amazing" He whispers "And so so sexy" Bucky whispers and I let out a small laugh against his lips before deepening the kiss, He pulls me closer to him by the waist before wrapping his arms around me while mine snake around his neck

"Let's get out of here"

"Mhm"

We barely even make it into his room

A few hours later we are just laying in bed with my head on his chest "You kissed Steve on the cheek this morning" Bucky says, I sit up and frown "What?" I ask "You kissed his cheek" Bucky repeats "So?" I ask with a small laugh "what do you mean so?" Bucky asks and I frown "He's jealous" Venom says "Why are you so jealous?" i ask "Because you slept with him" Bucky says and I shake my head "I thought you didn't care about that Buck, it never meant anything and it's not going to happen again. Steve and I are just friends and we stopped sleeping with each other long before we did" I say "Doesn't make it okay" Bucky says "I am naked, in your bed and you're thinking back to Steve? Does the fact that I am dating you not matter at all?" I ask "I don't know, you couldn't pick between the both of us then. How do I know I can trust you now?" Bucky asks

I let out a real laugh before getting up from the bed and angrily putting my clothes on "You are a fucking dick Bucky" I say shaking my head, Bucky gets up and stands in front of the door "Move or I will make you" I growl annoyed "I'm sorry, I-I got jealous. I really like you Angel and I am scared you'll start thinking less of me the more you get to know me" Bucky says sadly while looking into my eyes "the only way I will ever think less of you Bucky, is if you keep acting this way towards me. Think before you speak so you don't have to embarrass yourself by apologising over the things you say when you're angry, simply just don't say them" i say

"I'm sorry doll" Bucky whispers while cupping my face with his hands "Come back to bed" He whispers "You think he meant that apology?" Venom asks "I think he's being toxic" Venom adds "Why is it a good rush?" Venom asks, I nod and follow Bucky back to the bed. Bucky pulls me into his arms and holds onto me tight "Don't give up on me" he whispers getting sleepy "I could never" I whisper

"No, get away" Bucky groans in his sleep, I open my eyes slowly confused, I look over at him squirming in his sleep "he's having a nightmare" Venom says "what do I do?" I ask "Please, no" Bucky continues to groan while rapidly moving around, I begin to brush his hair away from his face softly. His eyes snap open and he looks at me clearly frightened of what he was about to see, he instantly calms down once notices it was me "You're okay" I whisper "It was just a nightmare" I say still brushing back his damp hair, Bucky remains quiet while just staring into my eyes shocked and somewhat embarrassed that I had to see that "there is nothing to be ashamed of Buck" I whisper, he looks so hurt, so vulnerable just like he must've felt back then

"Sing to him" Venom says "No" I reply "It has always soothed me in Hydra and in that hospital" Venom replies, I remain quiet for a little while. I begin to sing 'Chasing Cars by Sleeping at last' so softly it was almost a whisper, Bucky looks a little intrigued but definitely more relaxed at my sudden attempt to comfort him. I watch as his eyes begin to slowly close and he falls into a peaceful slumber once again "I told you" Venom says, I continue to look at Bucky now sleeping peacefully with a sleepy smile across my face that I was able to take some of his discomfort away with such a simple action
