"It's 4 am" I say with a laugh "that's okay" Steve says with a smile "aren't you tired after the mission?" I ask "I mean a little" Steve replies and I run my hand through his hair softly "you can sleep" I say, he closes his eye softly before leaning back against the head board "is it okay for me to stay? I don't want to intrude" Steve says opening his eyes once again "I can feel a difference in you" Steve says "does it have anything to do with the other guy?" Steve asks "I just think I want to take sex out of the equation and get to know you guys properly" I say honestly "I think you're right to, even though we did have a lot of fun" Steve says and I smile "we did and we will continue to have fun, just in a different way" I say and Steve nods, I move closer to Steve and rest my head on his shoulder
I feel myself falling fast asleep quickly
"Wake up" Venom sings in my head, I groan "GET UP" Venom yells scaring me and causing me to fall off the bed accidentally pulling Steve down on top of me "ow" I groan, Steve looks at me both shocked and worried "what happened?" Steve asks helping me up "Venom" I reply while massaging the back of my head "did I hurt you?" Steve asks "no I'm okay" I reply "why would you even do that?" I ask Venom who just laughs darkly "Mr Stark has been calling you for almost an hour" Venom replies "what did he say?" Steve asks "Mr Stark is calling me apparently" I say "I should go" Steve says and I nod, he kisses my cheek before walking away "isn't he just sweet" Venom says as I walk into the bathroom smiling a little too much "yeah he is" I say
I get ready and head to the meeting room where Bucky sat in front of Mr Stark "hey" I say walking in "you're late" Mr Stark says "I'm sorry I didn't hear FRIDAY calling" I say sitting down next to Bucky "I am sure you're aware that there's an upcoming undercover mission?" Mr Stark asks and I nod, Bucky sets his mug of coffee in my hand with a wink and I smile before returning my gaze back to Mr Stark as I take a long sip of his coffee "at your sisters request I will be sending you with one of the guys, one of the guys being Bucky" Mr Stark says "great, what is it?" I ask "you'll be posing as a married couple in a rich neighbourhood" Mr Stark says "married?" I ask and he nods "someone is still making the serums along with Dr Frey before Venom ate him up, we tracked one of his most visited addresses to this neighbourhood. I'm going to need you to figure out who's storing them, destroy them and bring whoever it is back to us." Mr Stark says "why do we have to act married?" Bucky asks "you'll be hiding in a very conservative neighbour and you have to fit in" Mr Stark says "when do we leave?" I ask
"If Bucky is okay with it, you guys should leave tonight" Mr Stark "I'm on board" Bucky replies and we nod "pack your bags, I'll have a car ready for you in 4 hours" Mr Stark says and we nod before leaving the room "guess this won't be too awkward considering we've done a lot of things married couples do" Bucky says pulling me in by the waist "except that I'm taking sex out of the equation Barnes" I say "I'm okay with that doll" Bucky says smiling "I don't need the sex, as long as I have you" Bucky whispers tucking a strand of hair behind my ear before walking away "oh he's sweet too" Venom says "yes he is" I reply, I walk to the kitchen to grab myself a snack to eat "so I heard you got the mission" Wanda says excitedly "yeah I did" I say turning to face her, I lean against the counter and she smiles "so who are you going to fake marry" she asks "Bucky" I reply "did you speak to him?" She asks and I nod
"I spoke to both actually, but I'm going to be away for a long time with Bucky so I guess that will give me enough time to get to know him properly. Having to be fake married and all, I can't help feeling sad though" I say "about leaving Steve?" Wanda asks "about being far from all of you" I reply "you'll be back in no time, plus you also have Venom there to help out on the mission. I bet he'll be able to sense the bad guys" Wanda adds "he does have a good intuition but he doesn't have the tingles like Peter does" I say with a laugh "rude" Venom replies "I need to get going if I want to pack my things" I say "Go ahead, Nat and I can meet you later before you head out" Wanda says and I nod, I head back to my room to see Steve by the door "hey Steve" I say smiling "so you're going on the mission" he says and I nod, I lead us inside my room and begin to look for some suitcases "yeah with Bucky" I say opening the suitcase and beginning to pack
"I can't help but feel slightly jealous that I don't get to go with you" Steve says "you don't have to be jealous" I say and he shrugs "well after all, we are friends and I would've liked to spend some extra time with you even if it was in a mission" Steve says and I smile "tell you what" I begin to say "when I come back, we can go out for drinks and movies or we can just stay here for drinks or movies" I say with a chuckle "and we will make up for loss time, deal?" I ask "deal" Steve says "need a hand?" He asks "sure" I reply "I know he's my best friend but Bucky can seem a little toxic sometimes so just watch out for his temper" Steve says and I nod "I know Bucky's temper very well, I just won't touch his knives" I say with a wink and Steve let's out a little laugh, a couple of hours later Steve walks me outside and helps me with my suitcases
"I'll be back in no time" I say and pull him into a hug "I'll miss you anyways" Steve says tightening the hug, I kiss his cheek with a smile across my lips. I see Natasha and Wanda coming out to say goodbye, I walk over to them while Steve goes to the drivers side of the car to say goodbye to Bucky "call us okay? Keep us updated on everything that happens" Natasha says "I regret putting you up for this" she says clearly panicking "Nat, I won't be alone. I'll be with Bucky and Venom, I'll be okay and I'll be safe" I say pulling her into a tight hug "I'll call every time I get a chance" I say with a smile before hugging Wanda "and I'll keep you both updated" I say smiling "Good luck" they says and I give them a little wave before getting in the car, Bucky drives away and I glance back at the compound "has Steve warned you about me yet?" Bucky asks catching me by surprise
"What?" I ask "I know that you and Steve have gotten close lately and I'm sure he's noticed the same thing" Bucky says and I just look at him "he knows that it's Steve" Venom adds "yeah Steve and I are friends" I say "like you and me friends?" Bucky asks "I'm not pissed, I just want to know" Bucky says "not anymore" I say "so he's the other guy?" Bucky asks "it wasn't my plan" I say, I see his hands tightening against the wheel "it kind of just happened but I haven't done anything with Steve since before my last mission" I say, Bucky doesn't lreply instead he just focuses on the road ahead "I thought you weren't pissed" I say "and I didn't expect it to be my best friend" Bucky replies "I didn't expect any of this to happen Bucky, it just kind of did. I never told you who it was but you both knew I was with someone else too" I say
"Does he know that it's me?" Bucky asks and I shake my head "he's not going to be happy, unlike me, Steve actually cares about this stuff Angelina" Bucky says and I nod "I know" I reply "it's okay, I guess it kind of just happened" Bucky says resting a hand on my thigh making me smile, the cold metal instantly cools me down "is it too cold?" Bucky asks lifting up his hand but I put it back on my thigh "it's fine" I say smiling "it's going to be a long drive, why don't you take a nap?" Bucky asks "are you crazy? This is my first road trip" I say excitedly before putting on the music and singing along making Bucky laugh
